I am generally bad at games, so I use a lot of tip videos and walk throughs to compensate. So when I say no one seems to have done a video on this thing I found, it is pretty conclusive.
In Meagher Valley, at the intersection west of the baseball field is a set of buildings. A pharmacy connected to an office, an army navy store and 2 nondescript buildings behind the pharmacy. This area should be your first destination as soon as you have a vehicle to drive, better still go find a van.
Between those two buildings you will loot four material rucksacks and two fuel every time. The office has given me books and mods, the army navy is an army navy, and the pharmacy is also a no-brainer. I have come away with three useful facility mods, a mechanic book and eight rucksacks. All of this from an area that takes moments to clear if there isnt a heart in one of the buildings, even on day one.
I did tell another 'tuber about this but he does long form play through videos and this is more your cup of tea.

If you have a lot of stuff at your base to sell, go enlist a follower from a friendly enclave(preferably one that costs 0 influence). Just bring them home and sell directly to them. Helps save trips filling up car trunks.
Or, fill up the car, sell everything elsewhere, and pick up the friendly enclave person on your way home to continue selling without making another trip. When you’re done, just dismiss them.

Edit: Isn’t crafting Strong Painkillers just completely broken? 6 per med with pill press means 204 influence per med. For 2 med rucksacks you can make 1600 influence versus 500 for plague cure. And you produce the needed ethanol at base versus killing zombies for samples. Plus let’s you save the samples for BioChem crafting.
If the numbers haven’t changed much, seems like Fuel bombs are on par with Bulk Plague Cure for money per “rucksack”.
    8 meds + 20 plague samples = Bulk Plague Cure (63 influence / med)
    2 fuel + 40 parts (1.3 Materials) = 12 fuel bombs for 204 influence (62 influence / fuel & material)
*Also needs Filling Machine and CNC Mill mods, as well as Chemistry 5th skill

They're not organic subscribers. When I started RUclips, I had no illusion that it would fast or easy. It took months to learn the software and get the hang of it enough where I wasn't constantly making mistakes. The first video I made is like a few minutes long, but the recording session took me 6 hours because of how many mistakes I made during it.
In the end, the subs will come as long as the content is both good and relevant to people's interests. It is just a matter of time.

Hmm, I'm not sure. A lot of the stuff comes from fairly logical places or is extremely random. Like, medical mods will come from clinics. Ammo presses will come from gun stores. Gun stores will have civilian weapons while a military camp or checkpoint will be more likely to have military grade guns, but the really rare stuff tends to be random. Even if you find a special loot location, it could be a gun or a melee weapon.

I've got 1534 Ferals Outwitted, half of that is from daybreak at least I imagine. But there's something else that's important to note...
There is a SOD2 mod you can download on your PC and just give yourself influence, resources, and even prestige. You can even fully customize your community in a more detailed but complex way than how it's set up in-game. After 486 hours of loving this game, suddenly I have fallen into a State of Depression if you will, with State of Decay that is. The sense of feeling like going on a resource run was an accomplishment faded. All 71 of my daybreak victories now feel useless.
I'm just waiting for a new map, or maps from what I've heard. Although I don't feel I should have to pay for them because I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of the game back in May.
I'll just look at it as a way of supporting Undead Labs I guess, which I do.

    • @GitGudFox

      Depends on what you want.
If you are trying to find better survivors to upgrade your existing survivors, you can spam the "find other survivors" command, on cooldown, to constantly generate allies.
You can start buying retraining manuals to optimize your character's skills because they let you unlock all 4 skills for the category of the book they read. The books are really expensive as well.
You can use the Trade Depot to begin collecting any mods you're missing because each merchant will bring mods with them.
You can buy Mysterious Wander Trader stuff, start collecting B50FGs for all your community members.
You can start buying bounty broker stuff which can be pretty optimal like the ice axe. Each one costs 850 influence, so it adds up quick.
      Those are some examples.

Ferals were worth double the influence when the "Choose Your Own Apocalypse" update first released, and since they could appear in a group of 3, you could score 150 influence + 20 influence bonus since the 3 ferals counted as a horde.

      @GitGudFox  3 года назад

That's on average (With a trade depot) 300-400 daily gain just chillin, plus, Whitney field's announcer box in meagher valley can force zombie sieges, which is naturally 60 a time in 2 minute intervals, with percentage increase, it's likely over 100. A lot of it is must have stuff.
You can basically live off influence and never loot again. You can just summon traders with the Trade Depot facility, and then you can just buy all of the rucksacks of supplies you want and never have to loot again. That's what I do.
You can spend influence to recruit new survivors, 150 influence to create a new friendly enclave of which you can pick 1 out of the 3.
You can buy parts, repair kits, electronic scraps, ethanol, and chemicals to build and upgrade your base or keep your vehicles running.
And those are just some of the things I'd consider essential. There's a lot of other stuff you can buy that are a notch below essential but still extremely important especially on Nightare one.

I have sold plenty of stuff to other groups but never bought anything. Only played on lowest difficulty setting, so this need to buy things may be important later on. Where I am at atm, the traders are not essential at all.
The longer you play in game, the more influence you gain as more and more hoards and special zombies start appearing. There is barely a moment of silence, which is really odd given the genre.
I've found a rather safe way to approach plague hearts, and infestations for now not to need any special equipment. Fire crackers/fire works, pipe bombs, and bolts for sniping.
Oh how this game cheats and feels so cheap. State of Decay 3 I doubt will get any closer to a proper zombie apoc game. It's fine. I can use exploits to circumvent some of the stupid design. Influence is the most powerful thing in SoD2, but it's an abstract concept. It's something you have to personally experience to understand.
Another way to explain this is that you haven't reached a level of experience in the game to see how the game is basically broken by influence.
