UCI World Cup Leogang - Lapierre Mavic Unity

Directly from Lenzerheide, the entire team heads to Leogang for the third round of the 2023 UCI MTB World Cup. Unfortunately, Erik is still recovering from his health problems and didn't travel with the team. Going directly from one race to the next allows riders to train on the circuit a bit more allowing them be a bit more relaxed for race day.
The short track was held just after a strong storm that left the circuit very delicate and slippery. Unfortunately, a couple of crashes without consequences left the team out of the top positions.
On Sunday, under a scorching sun, hydration was essential to be able to have a good race and Sebastian Fini finished in 15th position after an exceptional comeback from behind. Thomas Litscher was 25th, Annie Last 31st, Malene Degn 45th and Isaure Medde had to retire due to heat stroke.
