Thankyou for this!! I've really been debating on doing pour over just because it seems so calming and ritualistic to start your morning! This has been quick, efficient, and super helpful! Thank you so much! 🎉
I got this same pour over filter set with the glass carafe at the thrift store, thinking maybe it was there because it made bad coffee, but i decided to try it for $5. I followed your steps and have just made my best ever cup of coffee! Thanks!
@majordomomedia I had made pour over before but didn't ever really have great steps explained. The specifics here were great! My coffee has gone from pretty good to excellent! I'd love help with choosing beans next!
I really enjoyed this and it's cool that Alex from cometer came in, but don't Dave and Chris (and James Hoffmann) often rail against "perfect" recipes? Why name the video that, SEO I'm guessing? Don't go for perfect, find what you like. It's absolutely a great starting place for a pour over, but a fun thing with coffee and each individual roast is playing with grind size, amount, dilution and timing.
Thanks for having me!! 😃☕☕
It was our pleasure!! Thanks for stopping by the studio and teaching us things!
What do you think about the stainless steel versions with a re-usable filter (no paper filter)?

Amazing! Glad this is inspiring you! Alex’s recipe/method (from his friend) is a great starting point for getting into pour-overs!!

That is amazing!!! Alex knows his stuff! As a first-timer, did you feel like the process was relatively easy? We want more people to try it!

No Chang or Ying, i am suspect. Someone noticed the barrel beneath Majordomo. THAT'S KIMCHI, Dave yelled. A thump is heard in the distance.
Super practical! How about Perfect Aeropress next?
Deal! Alex showed us that too!
Instead of just dumping the hot water, heat your cups with it :D
Brilliant! 🙌
SMART!

Probably my soggy brain lazily naming it, but you're absolutely correct about how silly it is to call anything "perfect." Thanks for watching!
Seems awfully like an unnecessarily over complicated drip coffee....
You would love Alex’s amazing frozen gourmet coffee pods-Cometeer! A perfect cup of coffee in the time it takes to heat up the water!
You might be a little slow if this is complicated to you.
30 grams to 500ml is wasteful. Could easily brew 700ml with that amount
16:1 is a very normal water/coffee ratio for pour over
