Lived in Ukiah for over 40 years from 1978 to 2018. Have walked every street and seen some incredible changes during that time. We left due to the homeless problem, vandalism, arson, wildfires, ridiculous laws, taxes & the cost of living. We moved to Texas where gas is cheap, homes are affordable, schools are amazing & folks are friendly like they used to be in Ukiah long ago.
@@jonmacdonald5345 ~ Old Toby was a cool dude, the ones I am referring to are doing drugs in abandoned buildings, shake you down for change & pee in the streets.
This makes me feel nostalgic but also a little sad. I was raised in Ukiah in the 1950’s and 60’s. A lot of my old “haunts” are no longer there. It’s like Gertrude Stain said, “There’s no ‘there’ there.” Still, this is a lovely trip.
Bro, thank you SO much for this. I was there every month visiting/in love with the beautiful woman who helped me rebuild my life. Lots of joy, lots of good memories, lots of heartbreak and melancholy. Life-changing nonetheless. Never knew love before her. Miss those streets.
Anybody here who was a kid in Ukiah in the 70s & 80s? I lived here then and went to Yokayo Elementary School and Pomolita Junior High. Great town to grow up in.
Hi Jack. Thanks for your comment/question on my post. I’m keeping my eyes on your school mates for you. I bet pretty soon, some one will show up. Enjoy your day, Jack.
Lovely vid. My cousins were brought up there. 2 of my cousins still live there. We visited Ukiah in November 2013 while travelling to the UK from New Zealand. It was and is a lovely little town.
Damn. I lived in Ukiah in 92 thru 94. I recognize some of the video but the rest is unrecognizable. I remember me and 3 buddies rented a chill house up in the foothills. That place costed 750 a mo divided by 4! Lol Had a lot of good time in those two years. Spent a lot of time at the lake jet skiing.
Lived in Ukiah my whole life and only just recently moved . You love to Ukiah for two things . Retirement , and weed . The weed there is fire as fuck , and it is a beautiful town to retire in . Although there isn’t much to do there , the coast is a hour away which was probably the best move on a boring day
I'm moving here in about 3 weeks! I heard Ukiah was kind of run-down, but it doesn't seem to be that way at all based on this video. Super excited :) Also, the apartments here are SUPER cheap compared to the Bay.
Hope you've enjoyed your time here so far! (It's chill town for the most part) I've lived here my whole life and it's been a pretty cool and community oriented town.

California residents beware TERRi Horman has remarried now going by Terri Vazquez living in Clearlake California and working in Ukiah driving a green Dodge Challenger with a black stripe if you see her ask her WHERE KYRON IS?! Missing child KYRON HORMAN has been missing since June 4th 2010. TERRi Horman was KYRON’s stepmother at the time and was the last person to see Kyron and to be seen with Kyron. If you see her ask her WHERE KYRON IS??!
I live in Ukiah from age 6 to 12 had 4 good friends Kim cox. Bobby Britton. Anna Britton. And Sean Lawrence. I have often wondered what became of them. Leaving Ukiah was heartbreaking for me
Hi John, these day is not hard to find old friends. Look them up in fb:) They probably wondering the same about you. Thanks for watching this video friend.
I recently moved here with my boyfriend it’s his hometown we been together for 4 years and decided it was time for me to live where he’s from so everyone who knows of Ukiah and has lived there their whole lives tell me some fun spots to check out please cuz I need to check everything out 😊😊😊❤❤❤ and find some fun places I can go
They shut down the main street in Santa Rosa, Cloverdale, Ukiah, Willits and even Laytonville to promote foot traffic, agenda 21. Miserable failure these businesses get no business at all. Northern California will go bankrupt soon if it weren't for the federal grants.

Oh so you had a problem with Old Toby riding around on his mobility scooter with his dog bob and jamming his guitar at the gas stations?
