This build series is wonderful so far! I found the bent laminating form interesting, it’s great you prove the abilities you have as well that it doesn’t always require equipment.

looking fantastic sean:) i have one question-Assuming the chair is intended to be sat on and not just admired as artwork .how do you work out how thick/how many layers of ply or veneer to make it to support say a 120 kg person . I've had a bent lamination chair break and i subsequently made some buttresses to stop the leg flexing as much (Purchased from Freedom Furniture)
HI Peter, Thanks for watching and commenting again. That's a good questions, it's all about creating mock up and test components. I didn't some practices to see how big or thick i need the components to be.
Hi Richard, sometimes is can bit difficult to control. Sometimes the plywood springs back and you have to get it into possition before the glue sets! Thanks for watching again Richard!
You are so straightforward in your tutorial. No nonsense showoff words and terms. 👏
Really clever use of tape in lieu of massive numbers of clamps and forms. Well done

looking really good it takes a lot of skill that i don`t have to make precise parts on the lathe
hey @aspire to creativity thanks a lot. It took a lot of practice to get comfortable and confident on the lathe. All I can recommend in practice
awe, looks like you told that cute onlooker to piss off as he looks at the camera
Where would you get plans for this wonderful chair 🤔

@@SeanEvelegh so it's experience plus a bit of guesswork?
Easy to see how that could be a "can of worms".
