I had no idea as a kid that the first ending was hinting at me to play at a higher difficulty. I always assumed that the game ended with a robot Mr. X getting beaten and the shattered wine glass, with "The End?" meaning a 4th game would conclude the story. And then when that didn't happen, I assumed they just never bothered to end the series and the cliffhanger ending never received a proper sendoff. This is the first time I'm seeing extra endings. 20 years later. Geez.

I was in a similar state of disbelief and couldn't believe the game was only 5 levels and ended like that. The thought occurred they were going to make another one and conclude it, but then I got to thinking about the specific mentions of "playing like a beginner" and "try harder" and figured I would give it a try on hard. Low and behold, I got the real ending.

Yes but only in some parts in beginning and later levels. But yes charm is the word. Difficulty is harder but you can find it easier if you have strategies for all bosses
played this game when i was younger & got the bad ending, and i realized a few years ago they actually showed the whole city destroyed in the japanese version. never understood why they took it out the other versions
Thank's for showing the good/true ending last especially right after the real bad ending, the other 2 weren't that bad mostly just because of the music.
Yea. Far harder than the 1st 2. I hear the us release was the hardest. They made it hard so we wouldn't just rent the game and beat it. Makes u have to go buy it to have time to practice.
Many people have problems with the game but my main problem was the difficulty. Yeah this game was way too hard, I could beat the first two in hard mode, but this one was just insane. They should’ve at least given you more than two continues.
@@jordanbyrd9821 I would like to see Skate return as well but honestly it's hard to imagine what his gameplay would look like being that he's not a kid anymore..Hard to imagine a grown man riding around in skates doing all of his signature agile moves lol

I had no idea that there was a secret ending in stage 7 and 8 i play the game on the xbox 360 and i play the game on easy mode and i thought that was the end on stage 5 but then i play it again on normal mode and i made it to level 7 but i loss when i got to the robot factory so i going to keep training until i get good at the game i keep losing at this game sometime.
Technically, if you "complete" SoR 3 on easy, you don't actually complete it. You have to restart once you complete stage 5. I meant i complete it twice on normal mode, doing all stages.
I would like to ask a question about the Streets of Rage 3. From what I've been searching, he has four alternate endings. And according to what I saw on the net, if you play the easy option, you end facing the head of the fifth stage. But I put this option and zeroed in the seventh stage, facing the same hairy I faced in the first round in a ring. I wonder what it takes to I finish in all possible ways. Lacking the first, third and fourth order.
You have to save the police chief in the sixth round. Once you save him then you go and fight Jet...after jet, you will go the Dr dahm base and fight ninjas and goons and head to fight Dr. Dahm. After that you will reach mr. X but he is in a tube so he will send the most annoying robot of them all that basically spins out and you hit him once he falls over. Bad ending- kill him after time is over Good ending kill him before the time is over...this is the true ending...
For me the only thing this game has going for it in comparison to the previous iterations is better graphics and animations, and more enemy diversity. I also found normal difficulty to be very hard considering that there are lots of enemy "rooms" where it's very packed and hard to beat without losing a shit-ton of health and lives in the process. Bosses aren't all that hard once you figure out a strategy. The 3 samurai bosses were a nightmare though. I don't like the story, even ignoring the disparity between US and JP narratives. I think that one of the more disturbing things beside the bad story and difficulty was the sound track, it is so awful that I thought the problem was the emulator - turns out it wasn't, the original is that bad.
I've once got an ending where the last dialogue were of Axel, before appeared the scene of Mr. X watching them and shattering the glass with his hands. But I guess It is related to the first ending, maybe an alternative version?
Max was helping adam and the police in other places, thats why adam and max are not in the game as playable characters but is cool seeing them making a cameo at the end, showing that all of them are a special team
Damn ian know it was multiple endings when I tried hard mode I kept dying then I couldn’t figure out how to save the chief💀💀😂That’s how yk if you played easy mode and it had an question mark by the the end that’s how yk you didn’t finish it all😂😂😂
