    American Transcendentalist movement focused on the individual and the importance of nature. The three works that sparked this movement were two essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Nature" and "Self-Reliance" and another work was "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau to describe the ideals of individuality and personal freedom in America. There were a lot of influences on Emerson that we came across while studying Transcendentalism, and in this video, we are going to look at all of them, including how the literary movement began and what all are the poets and philosophers were associated with it.
