I love this, thank you! One request for future vlogs: assuming that you're willing for us to hear what you're saying, could you keep the volume of any added background music a little lower?
I was actually thinking the same thing! Mics are probably annoying, and additional setup to place a local mic, but if reducing or eliminating the bg track during your practices could help us hear, I'd like it! I realize the audio might be totally lost anyway though.
@@cf8595can you list the time(s) on the video that we’re talking about so I can have reference for the future when editing? We’ve thought about mics but never thought our mumbling during rehearsals was too important. But sounds like it’s wanted more than the visual. Thanks for the feed back!
@@seanrollofson8940 Yes, the talking while working is very interesting to eavesdrop on when possible, but the spot I particularly noticed was when you were talking about the costumes, and there was background music added that kept me from easily understanding what you were saying and what the text on the screen was referring to. I'd actually vote for adding no music in the editing process at all (unless it's just a purely visual montage or something). Thanks for the reply!
This may have been my favorite video you have ever put out. Sean is adorable and SUCH a beautiful dancer! You two are great together! And… You look fantastic Kathryn! Wow! (are those the pointe shoes that Josephine from the Pointe Shop gave you?)
I really enjoyed this. You both are so graceful with beautiful lines and personality. You seem in your prime to me - floating around the room. I love seeing the work that goes in and how you are trying to pace yourselves. Long time fan!
Hey Kathryn. This is completely off topic but I don't know where else to ask. My dancing space will be moved upstairs within a year's time directly over my stepdad's gaming room and he is very noise sensitive. Do you have any recommendations for wood flooring that's good at keeping things quiet?
I agree that the background music makes it very difficult to watch. The auto subtitles are very inaccurate and as you don’t add your own CC it was almost impossible to follow the video as a deaf person x
Good to know! Was it when we were dancing/rehearsing that you couldnt hear us? Because I purposely didn’t try to make us talking while we were rehearsing/dancing in the studio the focal point. Next round of vlog I’ll run them through with close captioning to help fix any accuracy. Can you list the times in the video that you are referencing so I know the problem areas?
Thank you very much for trying to sort it, I do love these videos and don’t want to miss out! I think even the talking in the studio is frustrating not to hear as you feel like you’re missing out on something others can make out. It’s a shame the auto CC from RUclips is so poor so thank you for offering to run the videos through one, that’s really appreciated. I’ll have a watch through again and look for timings for you but thank you again for trying to resolve it x
I'd rather see this than the performance tbh. I love the camaraderie and show of effort. Just my .02, at 54 I have a lot of issues with lower extremity swelling. I take dandelion and nettle tincture (amaz0n) and lay with my legs up on the wall for 10 minutes. Flushes the lymph system.
I love these vlogs. Watching the imperfections in rehearsals makes the finished product even better, because then I know what it took to get there. Also, Sean is hilarious, and reminds everyone not to take life too seriously, unless it actually is that serious (like, say, when he's lifting another dancer over his head). At the end, though, Kathryn, was that just ordinary spray paint that you were using to colour your pointe shoes? I didn't know that that would work.

Yes, I agree… It was hard to hear a lot of your voice and words. Please wear mics maybe?

Thanks for the heads up! Sorry, us talking while working we didn’t think was the focal point, but more the visual was more important. 👌🏽

Very sweet of you, thank you
I miss your Once Upon A Pointe series.
I miss it too!
Me too
Me too, I would love to hear about being in the corps. Which one was the most difficult to be in as a part of the corps?
I love that we are watching this in early August with Shamrocks on the wall 😊

Not KM, but you could look into rubber underlayment with a sprung floor.
Sean what are you studying? 🌄

Rehearsal footage is SO much fun. So so cool to see!❤❤
The number of bleeps when Sean is present cracks me up. 😂
It's nice to see y'all again
Swollen feet, are you okay did you sprained your ankle, hurt your foot or something?
