I carry a 2023 M16-02SS all the time and I love it except for its pocket clip.. I wish it had the one on yours here. The one they have now is fantastic for jeans and sturdy pants.. not so much for sweats and joggers though which is what I wear mainly. The pivot on all three of my M16s is so off I’ve been scared to take them apart. But, none have ever failed or come close.
Definitely much better! Got a good knife with a little bit of elbow grease. Shout out to the small craftsman flat head I still have a few in my tool box. Great video my friend 👍
Ah nice! That's the tanto version of the exact same one I have. My model number is M16-13M which is the bayonet or spear point version. Something unique to this model is this was made before the LAWKS or even the AutoLAWKS systems came out and started getting integrated into the M16/M21 lines. Also unique, and something I actually particularly like is the serrations/jimping grooves on the flipper tab go all the way around that notch. What this enables is really superior grip in the open position and gives a little bit of 'bite' into your glove or hand of your index finger and I personally love it, because it feels like it definitely will not slip at all out of my hand despite the grips are more or less 'slick' without texture other than the holes. I don't find that the holes give all too much grip but do more for lightening up the knife overall. I do find that the pocket clip to be of excellent design and fits the hand very well for some added grip, especially the end of the clip tab when opening or closing the knife, and it hasn't ever given hot spots even under hard use. Unfortunate that your blade coating is so extremely worn off. Mine has partially worn off as well but it's done a great job of holding up and keeping my blade from rusting in between maintenance times. Last thing I love about these older models is the position of the pocket clip, it's not a deep carry but it also lets you easily get a grab on taking it out of your pocket, even with gloves on, no problems with the knife ever getting caught on anything external and being yanked out of the pocket. Mine has served me well and continues to do so and I hope you find what you like about this model for your own uses. Cheers!~
I like the little oil can man.
Great refurb into a decent carry knife that you do not have to worry about. Thank you for showing us how you did it, DeeMan. Stay safe and stay cool
Surprisingly the steel is not too bad, holds a good edge for a bit. Thank you, take care my friend!
Mate, that was freaking beautiful to watch. Fantastic job!
