My Dad was a quality knife maker before he passed away a few years ago. I appreciate the forest views, a very peaceful looking place. I used to love sitting in the woods. I can no longer walk much, so I miss the woods. Thanks for the video Tom.
Didn’t know that my dear friend 🤔 … and sorry for your loss 😞 I’m glad your following me on my adventures and always looking forward to hear from you after I launch a new video Take care brother and 🌤🇩🇰remember to enjoy life 🏕🔥🌲 Tom
Wow, Tom, that was one bodacious looking viking burger! Yes, those are technically cucumbers but when they're preserved (pickled) in vinegar with dill seasoning, here we call them pickles or dill-pickles. Very tasty. Watching you make and cook that burger makes me think you have some "southern-blood" in you, brother! HA! That new area is so beautiful! Love the moss covered forest floor! So serene. Till next time...Skal, my friend!
Tom, your videos are always so well made. Perhaps one of the best on RUclips. Also, you are a very inspirational person. I find myself out in the woods after every one of your videos! Thank you for all the DIY tips and your hard work. And, yes. I would be interested in one of the seax.
Thanks a lot my friend 😁👍🏻I’m glad you enjoyed it and grateful that you came along again. Cool that your interested in my Seax if it’s going on sale 🤗🏕🔥🌲 Tom
Nice looking sheath - old and worn is the best look! Just beware, though: after some use, the seax edge may wear out the glue, then cut the seam. When making sheathes (both axe and knife) myself, I add a small strip of leather before gluing and sewing it all together. Makes it all more durable, from what I've been told. ᛞ
Tom, that sheath is perfect. Really like it. Nice touches, sanding and engraving gives it that "weathered" look. Burger looked really tasty! Another great video. Take care friend! Mike
I never get tired of watching your peaceful videos. That was a good looking meal as usual. I really like that sheath you made, very nice. All the best!
Another wonderful day in the forest. Good food, the music of nature. Perhaps a beer or two. Oh, and coffee! Thank you for bringing us along again. I like to see the raven banner flying! Be well my friend, stay safe and take good care. And please share my thanks to your wife for letting you spend days in front of the camera!
Thanks Eric 😁👍🏻 and I’ll do that … she’s very supporting but I know that I shall be grateful for having such a sweet wife 🥰👍🏻 Appreciate your kindness and support my friend and I’m always looking forward to hear from you 😉🏕🔥🌲🍻 Tom
Hello Tom! 👋 Another beautiful, peaceful day in the woods. I love to watch you set up camp with all of your wonderful creations. I also very much enjoy your videos of how you make them. The sheath for your seax came out so nicely! Best of luck to you in finding a partner to make and sell your seax! Until next time my friend, health and good fortune to you and yours. 🌲🏕🪵🔪🪓🔥☕️🌲
Thank you so much Sharon 😁👍🏻 your kindness and loving support means a lot to me my friend and I’m always grateful for having you visiting me on my adventures 🤗🏕🔥Tom
Your art work and the peace of nature both are a gift from God. It is very beautiful, so simple but so hard to grasp for m as my people. You will be the number one RUclips channel. Everyone can find such peace in this just from watching. A book could not do this. It is real.. great job... love it Brother, your friend Mike....😉
Hey Tom it was fun hanging out with you today. Your right, that will be a great place for an overnighter. The sheathe you made is much is much more fitting for you. I'm looking forward to our next adventure. Dwayne
Good to see you out on such a beautiful day Tom, and eating like a (Vi)King too! I love the Seax and sheath. Leather just gets more beautiful as it gains character through use.
Hi Tom, I like the horn cup, the wooden bowl and the bushcraft knife! Really beautiful! This Viking burger looks very tasty! And to complete that coffee from the forest! Special day my friend!
Thank you Tom for other great moment shared with us in such beautiful place as that. I like a lot to see you enjoy your meal and your great equipment. It is great to see as in the time, it have been growing up better and better. Congratulations. A big hug for you Tom. It is great for me to see your channel bigger every day. Take care my norther friend.
Thank you so much Miguel my Spanish friend and brother 😉 I’m glad that you chose to join me again and I’m looking forward to seeing you again on my next adventure 🏕🔥Tom
I very much enjoy your videos and your countryside. These are the best things in life as far as I can tell so far. I just want to retire and hike and fish and camp. Until then, your videos help. Thank you Sir.
Hi Tom, another great video, as a birdwatcher I love the bird song in the background. Love the leather craft, and your new wooden shirt /coat. And as for your laser engraver I must get one. Thanks again and take care. 🧵🥃
Good to see you tom the burger looked delicious your leather work is just beautiful and the Lazer is very cool I do like the wool robe very relaxing video my friend take care.
Excellent video, Tom. If your seax ever becomes available as a production item, I would be interested in purchasing one. The sheath you crafted is very well done.
Relaxing, informative, mouth watering and totally cimber, You know I have a similar shape knife to your seax, I made a sheath for from a pair of my old army desert boots, however my stitching is crude, but after watching your tutorial I'm ready to try and do better,,,, thanks mate!
Tom, Thank you very much. I am glad that you like the salve and I hope it serves you well. Tom......All I can say is that you know how to pick em. That location was breath taking for sure. And that was one heck of a burger with the sauce to boot too. You wanted to stay European on the knife and sheath. I would, as a suggestion, contact Joker Knives in Spain. They might be interested in such a venture with you. They make a Nessmuck knife, why not yours too. Again, I was totally into the sheath. You make it look so easy and effortlessly. And again I have learned so much from your videos. Along with the bow saw that you made, I would like to make a sheath like yours for my Joker Nomad knife, blade up. Another inspiration to try making my own leather sheath. I like your DIY's very much. Again, Thank You Tom. Ya got another thing coming soon.😉 Great video. In fact that you reviewed The Piney Pitch Salve in a pine forest too. How fitting. Your videos are truly wonderful and I am slowly watching all your older videos as well.
Appreciate that very much Scottie 🤗 and thank you so much for all your kindness 😁 and loving support. Maybe I’ll contact that knife company and see if they are interested … but I do prefer if someone contacted me … and I’ve had a few until now 👍🏻😉. I’m glad you like my review of your salve 😊 and hope you’ll get a bit of sale out of it. Atb to you 🏕🔥🌲Tom
Hi tom...I love your cimbrer seax and sheath it is very nice....also the forest with the birds singing is so beautiful....looking forward to the next adventure with you.....wishing the best for you and your family tom and have a wonderful weekend !!!!
Thank you so much 👍🏻😁 and I hope that you and your family also will have a wonderful week ahead. Appreciate your positive feedback my friend 🤗 and 🏕hope too see you again soon🔥 Tom
Tom👍👍 Wonderful location in the forest for you to stop, relax and enjoy the nature. The weather favored you and the birds welcomed you back to the forest, no doubt they saw your Viking flag on the staff. That was some Viking burger, looked so delicious and yes the cucumber/pickle had to make it even better. Totally official with the obligatory Cimbrer coffee😉😉perfect. The sheath you made for the Seax looks very nice, old school style and works good. Excellent video and well filmed as always. See you in the next adventure. Enjoy!
Hello Tom. To me this was one of your best video's. I am amazed at the quality of your leather work. I have thought about tinkering with some leather work. I have never tried it but it looks very rewarding. You cease to amaze me with all the items you have crafted. It also looks like a great area to do an overnighter. That viking burger made my mouth water. I've said it before, I never get tired of watching your video's. I feel like we've been friends for years watching your travels. Thanks for all your hard work. If I lived over there, I would have to ask to tag along on one of your ventures. Take care my friend. God Bless you and yours.
Yeah that’s right Elmer 😁👍🏻 you are a dear old friend that have followed me for years and I appreciate that very much. I’m glad you enjoyed this one too and hope you’ll join me on my next adventure as well 🏕🔥🌲 Tom
I can not believe of my eyes is that true,my good friend is rising again ooooo great odin i thanck you for your discipol because show us a wonderful things about the viking life it is very interesting and educational one and thanck you my dear friend for that what can i say ...comeback soon my dear friend 😉👍
Thank you for another enjoyable visit in such a beautiful place. I want to share a little bread making secret with you. When part way through mixing your dough, turn the spoon around and use the opposite end to mix and scrape up the flour from the sides of your bowl. Your spatula end (Burger turner) would work very well for this too. Less dough sticks to the narrow end and it is easier to clean off. :) I learned this from watching an older man make all kinds of bread. He uses a long handled wooden spoon end which would be about 6.35mm (1/4 inch).
Hi Tom, good idea to making a new sheath, yours is also great and it is usefull for your seax. Nice video as always, take care! Petra By the way, I like your burger ;o).
I hope you can collaborate with someone on your knife. Your burger looked good. Glad you had a nice time out in nature. Hope you had a good holiday weekend.
@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag thank u Tom for your cool ideas and awesome gear brother ...hail Odin ..you are a continued inspiration ... Great friend from across the sea😉🌅🗻
I really enjoy seeing how you make everything. You do quality workmanship. The sheath is wonderful, especially the design details. I did notice the jacket, and it's very cool. Perhaps they can make one out of cotton to wear in warmer months. The Viking burger looked yummy. The little container is very nice, and looks well made. The salve sounds great. As always, it's so peaceful to be there in the woods with you. 😉
Thanks Marjie 😁👍🏻 and it’s always wonderful to have you visiting me on my hikes 🏕🔥 Appreciate your feedback my friend and looking forward to seeing you again soon 🤗Tom
Good morning Tom I'm a day behind watching you this week. Very nice video on your knife and sheath diy project.👍. Hope you can get together with a knife maker. Thanks for your efforts in your videos! I'll be looking for your next video my friend. Take care this week. 🇺🇸🔪🔥🌲
Greetings again from Nova Scotia, Canada Tom. I usually don't watch cooking programs but man, I could watch you all day prepare and cook a delicious meal over a campfire in a beautiful forest. i made sure to eat with you this time because i get too hungry waiting for the video to end haha : ) And Of course I always have a special drink (beer). Another great DIY tip on making the sheath. Looks awesome! All the best with the Cimbrer seax brother!
Thanks Daryl 😁👍🏻 I hope I’ll succeed in my search for a knife maker that will do it and I’ll keep you posted on how it goes Thanks for joining me again 🏕 Tom
I’m glad you like it Shane 😁👍🏻 and appreciate if you want to buy it if it’s going to be on sale Thanks for your feedback and for joining me again 🏕🔥Tom
Mr saw paws comment is absolutely right, the added strip of leather in-between the outer two means the blade is not in contact with the seam 👍. I'd like to show the axe and knife sheaths I've made but not sure how to do that on here? Great looking and working sheath Tom 👍
Great knife and amazing job whith leather and the your "Big Mac" in the forest.. 😂. Im like your flag and spiritual drink... 😁. Thank you for the video, my wife and I enjoy the forest, the birds and the peacefull. From Bunos Aires Argentina.👍
Tom, thank you as always for an inviting and inspirational video. Looking forward in a couple days to taking the first step to freedom from Covid. The sheath looks good. Besides adding a strip where the stitching is to protect the stitching, one could alternatively consider making an inner sheath of PVC or Kydex which could then be slid into an outer leather sheath. I have something similar with my 240mm Terava Skrama from Varusteleka in Helsinki, Finland. On another note, I can’t help but wonder when we will see you wearing a modern Viking helm. Something lightweight, yet can be worn with a skull cap or touque. Horns are optional.😉 All the best!
Ha ha can’t even imagine how my followers would react if I had a helmet with horns 😆🤣 Appreciate your humours comment and advice regarding the sheath making 🏕🔥Tom
Hey Tom, nice sheath For the knive, also the resence For the cuts in your fingers , i contact this fellow thanks For sharing this information .. grtz Janneman ... have a nice weekend !!!!
Yeah I've been Benge watching your videos, And what a time I've had, What I'm gonna have to do is there's a big mountains and rocks behind my house and trees and stuff I need to get some pictures and stuff together and I'm learning a learning a lot just by watching the videos the videos, Well it's back into the Viking adventure fly again flag out talk to you next time.
Great Video Tom, George my "son" who I watch your videos with here in England who is 6 years old favourite food is burgers.. now he wants to try a viking burger some day ...skål 🍔🍻
Ha ha that’s great Ian 😁👍🏻 I hope you’ll make one for him and that he like it 😋👌🏻🍔🔥 Say hello to him from me and tell him I’m glad he watch my videos 🤗🏕🔥🌲🛶Tom🇩🇰
Regarding outdoor wooden items & implements. For the sake of protecting them from the destructive effects of moisture, try applying a coat of aqua-fortis (essentially a mild nitric acid solution). You let it dry on the wood surface & then apply heat (heat gun works well) until the wood surface turns a reddish brown. Then apply coats of linseed oil. The acid content prevents organisms from living on, and consuming, the wood.
Ok 🤔 haven’t heard that tip before … thanks for sharing 😁 Can it be used for stuff your eating/drinking from ? Or is it toxic … sounds interesting 😉 Atb to you 🏕🔥🌲🛶🌤Tom

Appreciate our friendship very much brother 👍🏻😁 and I’m grateful for having you onboard my little Viking longship 🏕🔥
Tom
I really enjoy seeing how you make everything. You do quality workmanship. The sheath is wonderful, especially the design details. I did notice the jacket, and it's very cool. Perhaps they can make one out of cotton to wear in warmer months. The Viking burger looked yummy. The little container is very nice, and looks well made. The salve sounds great. As always, it's so peaceful to be there in the woods with you. 😉
Thanks Marjie 😁👍🏻 and it’s always wonderful to have you visiting me on my hikes 🏕🔥
Appreciate your feedback my friend and looking forward to seeing you again soon 🤗Tom

Nice work, I would like to try some leather projects. Excellent video as always. Thank you.
That’s great Dave 😁👍🏻 and I hope I can inspire you to go ahead and start making some leather projects … it’s fun and very rewarding 🏕🔥🌲Tom
Mr saw paws comment is absolutely right, the added strip of leather in-between the outer two means the blade is not in contact with the seam 👍. I'd like to show the axe and knife sheaths I've made but not sure how to do that on here? Great looking and working sheath Tom 👍
Send me an email Alex 😉 or if your on Instagram you can do it there … link in video description
Appreciate your feedback very much my friend 🏕🔥🌲Tom

Wonderful video - I really enjoy your DIY projects - I may try to make a sheath for my Saxon knife - Take Care
That’s great Tom 😉👍🏻 I’m grateful if I can inspire you my friend … you take care too 🏕
Tom
Horns are optional.😉
All the best!
Ha ha can’t even imagine how my followers would react if I had a helmet with horns 😆🤣
Appreciate your humours comment and advice regarding the sheath making 🏕🔥Tom

Regarding outdoor wooden items & implements. For the sake of protecting them from the destructive effects of moisture, try applying a coat of aqua-fortis (essentially a mild nitric acid solution). You let it dry on the wood surface & then apply heat (heat gun works well) until the wood surface turns a reddish brown. Then apply coats of linseed oil. The acid content prevents organisms from living on, and consuming, the wood.
Ok 🤔 haven’t heard that tip before … thanks for sharing 😁
Can it be used for stuff your eating/drinking from ? Or is it toxic … sounds interesting 😉
Atb to you 🏕🔥🌲🛶🌤Tom
@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag I'm not sure about eating and drinking items. My guess is that it can't be so used. It is toxic but only mildly so.
Thanks for your feedback 😊
