Could you run a Crit Rate set on QQ, and a Crit Damage set on Sparkle, and just have a 64% Crit DMG buff with 100% uptime, before Sparkle's skill buff? DEF shred is pretty neat, but a 300% Crit DMG QQ, with a near-100% Crit Rate could be doable, especially with Silver Wolf granting Quantum Weakness 100% of the time, or Ruan Mei if the enemy's already Quantum-weak, plus Fu Xuan's field granting Crit Rate at E0, and Crit DMG at E1... Although, if you got stacked Crit Rate substats, you could go for a Crit Damage Body, which is another 65%... Genius's Repose is a 48% Crit Damage buff at S5. Plus the potential of a 64% buff from the new set, plus Sparkle's own skill giving 110% Crit Damage if substats are remotely good, and likely more if they're exceptional. Without any contribution from QQ's relics, you'd have 220% Crit Damage. If you go for the Crit DMG chest piece, maybe hit decent Crit Rate substats, something like a 70/300 ratio could be doable with a bit of luck and one decent round of combat, and this is without the possibility of hitting a single Crit DMG substat. And if you go for Sparkle's E2, then you get the DEF shred anyways, so Genius loses all of it's value.
I was thinking that new relic set could be from Genius Society Member #64 Dr. Primitive, who was mentioned in the live stream for the new area. For those who don't know anything about him, he's a big criminal known to experiment on planets and it's inhabitants. When we had the meeting back in (I think the Ruam Mei quest) to find a 5th member for the simulated universe, Screwllum mentions he might come to claim the spot but she'd wouldn't want him to since she doesn't want a scandal on her research project.

Plus this new relic set has something that she really needs & that is a straight up damage boost. She's still fun to use in Divergent & Simulated Universe when you have blessings that enhance her.
The nice part is that you don't have to go all out for 4 pc, using 2pc from this cavern alone is good enough for most DPS if you get a cracked substat since SPD and CR is wanted by almost DPS but Superbreak
I certainly dont think scholar spring boards JL and her contemporaries miraculously back into the meta but that and sacerdos might stem the bleeding a bit until the 1.x crit hypercarry meta hopefully get some kind of buff from a new support unit or something
@@sf4603 It's less good than you'd think because almost all the hypercarries don't actually use skill to deal the bulk of their damage. DHIL doesn't, Blade doesn't, etc. Seele and Jingliu benefit, but Seele was already doing well -- so it's really just Jingliu who wins here. Even Argenti would rather have Eagle or possibly Thief due to his unique quirks, though Scholar is not a bad set for him if you really need damage push for whatever reason.

The only 1.x hypercarry I have personally is JL but all of them have at least 2 allies that can apply sacerdos buffs on them do they not? Maybe not Blade, I think he uses Bronya and someone else? Guess he is one of the characters that can feasibly run Lynx as his sustain tho and she can apply it.
I think that the new relics are really incredible and a huge quality of life feature in terms of relic farming. For instance 2 piece Salsotto + 2 piece Scholar gives you 16% crit rate, 2 piece messenger + 2 piece Sacerdos + Forge gives you 18 speed minimum
A second 2 pc speed cavern relic is huge, and the 4 pc is amazing for some characters. The other set has CRIT RATE 2 pc which is amazing for DPS with no clear 4 pc BiS or a really crappy domain. The 4 pc is also a relatively useful set just not on our top of the line DPS right now. I'll definitely be stuck in this domain for quite some time!
Noooo ! Nooooo ! I don't wanna farm a set for sparkle again ! It ain't that bad in Tingyun's case since you just nee atk% and some speed but it's so difficult to get enough spd and cd for me to get sparkle to the current 160 spd, 190 cd values I currently have her at (also hoyo shady by making a 4 piece set that benefit Jingliu only for them to then release an ice dps that uses that same set to powercreep her)

On second thought, Sacredos for QQ may not be that great. I run her on mono-Quohntum, so losing the def shred from the Quantum set to gain speed that's essentially wasted with Sparkle isn't that great. Depends on if the 36% cdmg is worth, I guess, but I can't imagine it would be to lose additional def ignore combined with Silver Wolf's and dmg%.

if you only have rainbow you could refarm, but only if you don't have anyone else who needs more attention as it's likely only going to be a small dmg incress in comparison

if you redundantly use her skill you could keep the buff up but you'll be losing out on alot of her dmg and sp generation. as a sub dps both of those are arguably more valuable then the buff from Sacerdos
It was mentioned Huohuo can't use the set bonus, but why though? You use your skill on a single target, you don't select multiple targets, and by relic's description it should work. If it was stated 'when AFFECTING only one ally by skill or ultimate' then it shouldn't have worked
I don't think huo huo can heal one unit only. Even if you try to heal characters on the first and fourth position you'll still end up healing the teammates right next to them.
@@karnas1864 it's not about healing multiple units, it's about the relic's set wording. When you use her skill you select one ally target, and it has a side effect of healing allies that are near them, but you still use the skill on one ally target

You can farm (without using fuel), and if you get lucky, use the rainbow on other units instead
