she's still a star, isn't she? Abby was right although Maddie doesnt miss DANCE I'm sure she appreciates her fam at the moment since she still acts in movies willingly

They wanted to leave since season 3, but they were under a contract until the very end of season 6 and eventually they got more and more tired so Sia helped them to get rid off the contracts so they could leave before but in the show they made it seem like they were leaving because Maddie was getting more opportunities
Kenzie didn’t want to stay. They both made that decision that they wanted to leave Kenzie just didn’t know when I was sad about leaving her friends. She did not want to be there anymore.

This honestly breaks my heart because she was such a sweet and talented girl who just wanted to dance and she got burnt out from the pressure it isn’t fair to her and that makes me want to cry as I see how happy she was when she was young and then see how that joy faded each season 💔💔😭😭

Rewatching Dance Moms as an adult, knowing what I know now, seeing how happy and innocent and full of wonder Maddie was in Season 1 to Season 6, I found it really sad. Maddie went from "I want to dance forever." to "Damn, I hate it here." was really sad to see that passion flicker out of her. Even harder was knowing that MacKenzie knew nothing about them leaving when they did and was completely blindsided by it, since she wanted to stay with her friends. It was just sad watching Maddie's passion for dance burn out of her and going from having such a strong bond with Abby to never speaking to her is also sad. Maddie was always my favorite but I'm glad she is at least able to strive now. I'm glad that all the girls were able to strive.
I just realized that Maddie’s last solo is about a girl being trapped. It wasn’t a heartfelt, beautiful going away piece. It was a kidnapping victim. Her being trapped on the show and Abby holding her emotionally
