Kenzie didn’t want to stay. They both made that decision that they wanted to leave Kenzie just didn’t know when I was sad about leaving her friends. She did not want to be there anymore.
This honestly breaks my heart because she was such a sweet and talented girl who just wanted to dance and she got burnt out from the pressure it isn’t fair to her and that makes me want to cry as I see how happy she was when she was young and then see how that joy faded each season 💔💔😭😭

I don’t think so I believe it’s because before the show started she would go to school for like one hour then Mellisa her mom would pick her up she would go to dance then come back when it’s time to leave Mackenzie didn’t notice her gone so they kept doing then soon Maddie and Mackenzie quit school which I thought was really bad for them
Rewatching Dance Moms as an adult, knowing what I know now, seeing how happy and innocent and full of wonder Maddie was in Season 1 to Season 6, I found it really sad. Maddie went from "I want to dance forever." to "Damn, I hate it here." was really sad to see that passion flicker out of her. Even harder was knowing that MacKenzie knew nothing about them leaving when they did and was completely blindsided by it, since she wanted to stay with her friends. It was just sad watching Maddie's passion for dance burn out of her and going from having such a strong bond with Abby to never speaking to her is also sad. Maddie was always my favorite but I'm glad she is at least able to strive now. I'm glad that all the girls were able to strive.
I just realized that Maddie’s last solo is about a girl being trapped. It wasn’t a heartfelt, beautiful going away piece. It was a kidnapping victim. Her being trapped on the show and Abby holding her emotionally

People down play what Maddie went through because "she didn't have it as hard as the other girls" She was guilt-tripped for listening to her MOM instead of her TEACHER. She was love bombed and constantly told BY HER TEACHER that none of her friends cared about her. She was pressured to the point of PANICKING when she forgot a dance for the first time and kept saying "Abby's gonna hate me", and again when she slipped doing an aerial said "was Abby mad?" She was later on tossed to the side and ridiculed once she was off getting jobs on her own and didnt need Abby's help to get them. And when she and her sister finally got to leave the show, Abby couldn't care less.
The way you can see the smile from season 1 shine bright for it to fade in season 6 is legit so sad (Maddie had so much talent but was in the wrong studio)
