Could Stephen being stoned to death be a spiritual meaning of him being shown no mercy to the end, by the stone faced opposition, for boldly preaching the gospel ( i.e., showing Christ crucified > 1 Cor. 1:23)
I wish I could say yes, but I don't own the video. You'll have to contact Regular Baptist Press or purchase the DVD. I gave the link in my Permission statement.
I believe Christian can get stone. I mean we can get stone in a other way! Clearly we getting stone. Stephen was brave’ he spoke the truth. Why they stoned him to death’ how ever he spoke to God to hold his spirit’ Whenever they life stone you’ Give your spirit to God. They can make you a Stone’ but God will take care of your Soul and Spirit do not Worry.
Isn’t this an anti Semitic Jewphobia story? Was a story like this this used as propaganda against Jews by Hitler during the Holocaust? Saint Stephen seemed quite cheerful on both the sentence and during the stoning, does this story encourage martyrdom? Don’t Islamic suicide martyrs have a similar attitude towards perceived persecution and their response?
@@tammytaylor2520 Common sense would tell you it isn't, and we'd hope it wasn't. If I it remember correctly, this episode was about the stoning of a chap called Stephen, he was the first Christian Martyr and promoted to a Saint. He then had a feast named in his honor and that was the one King Wenclas went out on for a walk. Back to the episode however, I think it showed Jews pelting Stephen with stones. Now, for whatever else Christianity is famous for, making up stories is not so well known. It just appears to me as if this story has been concocted to show Jews in a bad light. I'll need to investigate whether they stuck it into the new testament or not. It depends on the period it was written in, the roman emperor involved and ability of the fiction writer to make it fit in with the post Jesus part of the story.
@@ivarhakuse8572 Stephen showed the Jews their own past behaviors. That's why they were so angry with him - as the video shows. Noone wants light to expose our darkness - regardless of ethnic background. The Good News is that God STILL wants a personal relationship with shady people 😉 Since we aren't perfect we can't enter His presence or He would then be imperfect. Accepting Jesus as our interceptor makes us perfect to be in God's presence. I'll take that Good News any day ❤️
@@thelazynortherngardener7607 Thanks for your contribution there’s not much I can say other than that in which case someone needs to show Christians their own past behaviours whether Inquisition in Europe, Goa inquisition in India, cross Atlantic slave trade, apartheid in South Africa, not to mention Jewish Holocaust. One problem here is the passing the blame onto other sects line. It was the Roman Catholics, the Jesuits, oh those christians know nothing about true Christianity etc in our church we don’t...... ie no one is culpable for their crimes but the whole lot of them are victims and know how to play that card really well. Muslims committed Genocide of Arab Jews, Banu Quraiza, Banu Quinuka et.al. The only solace Christians offered them was conversion to Christianity!! Jews for Jesus etc. I can’t understand why God would be imperfect and what this perfection means. Mohammad was perfect and so would be his followers as they all emulate the very epitome of perfection. Their perfection training however also involves having as many women for sex as possible and killing as many non-Muslims in holy jihad. Therefore all this perfection by merely joining a club business seems a bit of a joke. I was at a service some time back. Our Vicar said ‘it not what you do that counts, because anyone can do that, it’s if you have accepted the blood of Jesus’ well the jesuits had all accepted the blood of Jesus so I guess they’ll all be in heaven while their innocent victims burn in Hell for eternity. SAINT Francis Xavier of Goa Inquisition is a prime example of someone considered a saint who would be tried as an international war crimes criminal in today’s world. Other than that there is nothing more to be said. Dr Elaine Pagels might be a good watch on RUclips for you. Anyway, you don’t have to agree with my reasons, and I might not be right but reasons they are and not to belittle either you or your beliefs.
Why didn’t Jesus leave a lot more wine to make sure no other religion would be chosen??? Ya know like leave without a doubt evidence he was there and to not miss out on the best party ever by being a bad boy
I pray that God opens my heart and mind and guide me with his word
I’m watching for this for more information for my Youth Sunday School class
Stephen was a true Christian. A inspirational to what all our faith should look like.
Most modern Christians only live to serve these stiff-necked people.
Blessings and honor brother Stephen, forevermore
Very good. St Stephen is up there with my favourite Saints
God bless you all.
Great video, helps me to watch these illustrations as a review after reading the Bible. Thank-you

Thank you for this wonderful video 🥰🙏🏻
Great detailed video well aligned with the word love it
Sure sharing the gospel may not lead to stoning to death anymore. But it is not risk-free. You still risk being discriminated against.
What do we learn from the story??

1:03 the Bible never called them deacons, especially Philip who was rather an evangelist
They were deacons though. Weren't named deacons but we're deacons
I completely understand this video.

The Bible is not anti-Semitic.
