Just put a zip tie in between the hole and the pin. It will create enough friction to make it work. It works for me for two years now. Changing the spring is neater but a pain. Cutting the door up like shown in the video is not necessary. I did it before without cutting the door up.
I remember doing this, took me an entire day of wresting the door actuator out of the hole under the door, and multiple cuts on my finger. Getting the spring in was a pain in the ass and on one of the doors the issue came back after a month so
Corta la puerta para sacar la cerradura, rompe el aislante de plástico gris, rompe el plástico del twitter… y encima enseña la cerradura cuando ya cambio el muelle.! Una máquina este señor!!! 👏👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wrestled with my door lock actuator for about 30 minutes and could NOT get it out!!! Mine will not fit through the speaker hole. I am not sure but in our country there may be some more reinforcing metal bars inside the door that prevents it from coming out? I guess cutting is the only way! I will try to cut a bit less than you did and see if I can get mine out! Thank you for the excellent video!
I see . No need to worry about the cut , In the most unlucky situation let's say the car will be smashed from the side , than some energy will be absorbed by other parts of the door or outside of the door , if you understand what I mean ... So in real life it won't affect anything . and you can just keep the part and weld it later when you get the chance if you really want the peace of mind . :)
Hey man. Another nice and well explained video. I have a question though, do you have the spring part number? I'm facing the same problem in the same door and I'm pretty sure the spring is the problem. Thanks!!!
I have seen " a professional mechanic " dissassamblig the whole door / window system , braking the window in the process and charging " the costumer " good money for all the work and parts on a similar job . One some models there is no need for any cut , this is a coupe
@@doit_vehicles have you tried it? I’ve had fun taking the whole panel off, but the airbag looks like a bomb. 🤷♀️ No foul intent on my comments btw. ❤️

@@khaled_ismailWhere did you put the zip brother? I’m too blind to see where..

Cutting the door is a little bit extreme
what would be the alternative ?
just cut the metal a bit so it can easy go out of the door. i saved 2h by doing that. thanks man !

I've managed to fix it without cutting the door... You can pull the mechanisms out from the speaker hole, anyway nice video.
