The Hickie try against Toulouse is the Greatest Leinster try of all time. Not only was it barbarians esque and a thing of beauty, but it was the day everything changed... From that moment on they believed.... They didn't win the cup that year, but the champions mentality was born.
Agree its the best of the lot, but we got hammered by Munster in one of our biggest lows the next game. That game didn't really change much. The change came later in Croker.
@@Nologogo I think beating the European heavyweights in France was the birth of the Leinster subsequent success in the following years. Yes, Munster did a job on them in Lansdowne that year, but I felt that the Toulouse match changed Leinster rugby profoundly....
@@dunlaoghaire Absolutely. I still remember seeing that try for the first time. That game was something else. They went down there with absolutely no expectations of winning. Toulouse in France was like how teams think of coming to Lansdowne Road now to play Leinster in the Heineken: very forbidding. But they played some fantastic rugby there, the mentality of the team showed in just running it back like that from in the 22, the game was end to end. It probably took it out of them for the next match but they went away and knew then that it could be done.
Tough viewing for us Munster fans... Though seriously, there are some impressive tries in that collection. That Will Green try against Bath wasn't one I remembered but was seriously good.
The two Larmour tries were something. Great to see him back last Saturday. Also with the first one interesting to see Horgan at 12 and D’Arcy at 11. Would have expected the other way around.
@@karlosdeevs Correct, Oct. '06, the game was promoted as "The Last Stand". I remember people pulling off signs as a momento, I saw someone taking a "K" from over a turn-style ..... funny. Great skill from the master.
@@CarrsMill Aww Yh, good memories. I couldn't make it to the last stand but went with family to the 2nd last game vs Agen. Only half full and leighin couldn't get any kicks throught the upright as Contepomi pulled out but still a nice send off from guests of afar.
DAGATHire we’ve virtually the same average attendances in the pro14 this season lad. We’d even be above you if we didn’t play games in Musgrave. Stupid comment.
DAGATHire great response. We’re still consistently challenging in Europe and have been semi-finalists for three seasons running again now. We’ve hit a bit of a bad streak of form recently but the fans will keep turning up
@@JanSanono honestly mate. I really do watch the muster games and hope you win except against my lot. No bs I do it's just a bit a jibbing. Some work needs to be done in Munster schools system for sure. And as far as I know that work is being done but you won't reap the benefits for a few more years then you'll be back on it. I'm sure
DAGATHire alright, thanks. Ever since 2009 I’ve been looking up to Leinster. Aside from losing to sarries in the final last year Leinster have been a pretty much perfect rugby team, I’d go as far as saying that they’d easily challenge most test rugby teams. I’m not entirely aware of the work being done in our schools but I’m sure there are changes being made because right now our academy is failing. I’ve more a worry for the club game which is much bigger here, but just can’t produce the same standards of players, which has really hurt Limerick rugby in particular.
That guitar riff is burnt into my subconscious at this stage

Agreed, but even that clip doesn't do the try justice (or Contepomi's vision) - ruclips.net/video/tFuVyB0R2hU/видео.html
0:48 BRIAN O'DRISCOLL
So good he could play outside centre and commentate over the same game he was playing in 🙌
Lmao
D’Arcy. Most underrated player ever
He had his moments, he wasn’t magic every week.
Watching a young BOD run those lines with D'Arcy. Chutzpah. Best team in Europe
BODs involved in over half of them, what a player
Did we not have a good one V Northampton away with an O'Driscoll through the legs?
Tough viewing for us Munster fans...

fantastic! Great editing with the buildup too, not just the score! Thanks!

Ringrose try Clermont 2017?
Was a great try for sure but you lost the game i guess that's why they didn't put it in video!
I was at 7 of those tries. Great times.
Horgan was a powerful man at full tilt.
Brian O'Dricoll vs Munster what a break away try. Nobody was gonna be catching a prime O'Driscoll in that situation
Might be the nostalgia, but the older the clips, the better the jersey
Thumbnail is just bullying us munster fans
Edit: this entire video is just bullying us :p
Jordan Lamours 3 step try tops the list.
Oh the memories of Dennis Hickey 🍀🇮🇪
B.O.D and Gordon best partnership in word rugby for year's.
How would you choose best try ? 💙🏉💙
Surprising no Gary Ringrose try (60m solo) v Clermont
Great bit of video
BOD's try against Brive in 2010 not here?
Shocking omission
Obsolute Cornage
There's octually a K in Chili con Kornage
what ? BOD's flick over during The Last Stand not there. Hum.
ye mean against ulster in '06 at the very last outing of lansdowne rd. ?
