- Grandma's family is Muslim. In previous videos, you saw how she with her family lamented and mourns.
Today, two of her daughters who live in the city came to see her, in the next video you will see that they all go to the cemetery together, which is part of their culture in the month of Muharram.
Some people of Lor tribe in Iran are nomads.
They constantly change their place of residence, they move to wherever it is beneficial for their livestock.
This year, Grandma's family has decided to stay in their grain farm.
Which was supposed to stay here until harvesting time, But they have changed their mind and are going to stay here more time.

families. There's some wonderful elderly women that demonstrate their cooking skills in Dagestan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. I didn't even know those countries existed as part of the Russian empire, and for the most part they're Muslim countries and still hold onto their traditional lifestyles. Beautiful gardens, houses, shepherding cows, sheep, goats, and making cheese.

Thank you Doora for explaining things in the description of your videos. Thanks to you I looked up Muharram. Then I did research on the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, a grandson of Prophet Muhammad. I watched a documentary on him and how his family died with the 72 faithful right in front of his eyes, including his 6 month son with an arrow through his neck. His women and survivors were made captives to Yazid's army. I'm a history major and I live and breathe history, but in college we aren't taught Eastern Civilization history only Western. We only know about the Persians for example in relation to Alexander the Great and the Battle at Thermopylae. We learned about the fall of Constantinople in 1453 by the Ottoman Empire, but not the details other than it was the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire. We didn't really learn much about the Ottoman invasions of Russia/Poland clear up to Venice. Those were footnotes. So this history was interesting to me.
