He can smell milk! My boy did that until we completely weaned at 2 years old and now falls asleep with either of us the same :)

I used to babysit babies of various ages and they always went to sleep a lot easier when I put them down vs. the parent(s). I've had kids of single mums, single dads, breastfed, formula fed, all sorts, and this was always the case lol. The more I worked for the family the harder it got for me as well in some cases. So yeah, it's totally common, don't stress it!

Hey Ellie, love your vlogs and cookbooks :) Just wanted to say about the EOS R5 you can still use all your previous Canon lenses just by getting the Canon EOS-R Mount Adapter, it is quite cheap and works perfectly :)

Bowie is getting so big!
My husband has more luck putting my boy down during the night, it's like he prefers dad?! It's so frustrating because i can spend hours trying to resettle him and the minute dad tries he's straight to sleep! I think it's because he knows the role you play outside of sleep too - feeding, more hands on, the cuddler/nurturer, he's with me a lot more, we play more etc? I also think they are in tune with when mum is stressed? I'm not sure about the smelling your milk thing past the newborn stage, lots of mums continue to breastfeed past 12 months and have sleeping babies xx

Same here with our son and me putting him down. Also he can be fine playing with Daddy and Grandma for a while then I walk in the door and he would start moaning and being whiny when he was a baby. Same with sleep he would be restless with me and then eventually I give up, hubby takes over and bingo he’s asleep in seconds! 😖🤦♀️
He is mostly much better now he’s just turned 3 and mostly off the breast now but still v occasionally needs a Daddy cuddle to get him asleep. I don’t know if it’s the breastfeeding and he can smell you vs Daddy or whether they can just totally be themselves around you. Like when we can be absolutely fine out in public with friends/work mates etc then come home to Mum/hubby and u don’t have to pretend or put on a show for anyone and you can just say how you really feel. All the feelings you had bottled up can just release. You are his safe place. We are having things at the moment with him starting nursery. He’s quite a handful after nursery, tired, clingy and just basically needing to release his emotions.
Love business content but the way. I sold my business when Robin was 1 and I desperately miss it. Although it was totally the right thing for me to do at the time, I think it helps you stay sane and enjoy life more than just being 100%Mummy. Hoping for baby number 2 soon here and I’d like to blend work baby life so it’s good to see a working mum rock it! 👍👌💕👏
