She is easily one of the best bass players in any pop/rock group to this date. So good. Plus F Chopper KOGA is awesome stage name! (And she is so cute. Sorry.)
+Valtteri Manala Ogawa Tomomi is the best female bassist (regular) and Koga Michiko slaps like noone else... two different styles but also two of the best in the world... though I don't like Koga beeing in an electro-poprock band... but that's just me bitching about music genres... it doesn't make her less awesome ^^
Nifuruc I first heard Koga in DOLL$BOXX, before I heard Gacharic Spin. As a bass player myself (52 years old, been playing bass for about 33 years), I was naturally drawn to checking out her playing. And ... whoa, she completely blows me out of the water. I don't slap at all - I play fingerstyle. But what impressed me about her was watching her switch seamlessly from slapping to fingerstyle and back again. Her technical chops are top-notch, and her understanding of how the bass fits into a song is admirable. She plays "fancy" and complicated without ever crossing the line into "too much" or "showing off". I said once before that Koga is the best rock bass player I've come across since Geddy Lee of Rush made me want to be a bass player way back when I was 14 years old.

It's become a tradition over the past few years at Tekko to host the VIP attendees and con staff for Sunday dinner at Hard Rock Cafe Pittsburgh for food, drinks, and a private performance from all the bands that played over the weekend. Lolita Dark opened for GS and words fail to describe what I experienced that night! I'm recommending GS to every con I work for in hopes we can host them and spread this awesomeness around!

It's interesting to note that you can't see the musicians actualy play their instruments in detail (for example the fingerplay of the guitarists)....as if they had not played them by themselfs (Hana isnt playing her kickdrum).
Many Japanese bands complete their songs first then they make the Music video later. This is why some of their actions dont match the musical performance because both were recorded seperately. Music videos is just for fancy visuals and theatrics. Doesn't mean they can't play . . . you should hear them live, in real time if you want to be convinced. They all have instrutional videos teaching people how to play their intruments. Their Bass player F Chopper Koga is famous and one of the best Slap Bass players in Japan.
