Please React to "God Machine" by Acid Bath. Although a good copy might be tough to find on RUclips, I think the label keeps taking down album copies. Please don't bother if it's a live version, doesn't do the song justice.

Acid Bath was gone too soon. They managed to release the most perfect pair of albums ever recorded in their time together. R.I.P. Audie Pitre

If you dont know who Acid Bath is you better ask somebody. These swamp rats were way before there time. Definitely the best unknown metal band in the world.

This is easily their most accessible song. Acid Bath put out 2 full length albums during their time. 2 perfect, non skippable track, albums. They were way ahead of their time for damn sure.

Their music still holds strong today, way ahead of their time. It is really sad they never reached the popularity they deserved. They were one of the greatest bands out at the time and the music still sounds better than 95% of modern metal.

Just into Acid Bath in the last month, heard their name around 10 years ago but just recently listened to them finally. Fell in love instantly.
The Morticians Flame & Scream of The Butterfly are a must by AB!

Samael shirt, not Zombie. Acid Bath's second album is closer to this song than the album this song is on. 85% of the time I prefer the second album, but that other 15% knows how to go off.

Acid Bath were one of the progenitors of the New Orleans sludge scene, hence the similarities to Down. If you want another NOLA sludge outfit, check out eyehategod.

Acid Bath is a band rich with that Southern sound, Dax is influenced heavily by Blues music his solo stuff along with his Agents of oblivion and deadboy stuff is absolutely amazing as well but if you like this song then Bleed me an Ocean is a must.

Subbed just because you did Acid Bath, and beyond stoked you dig ‘em. Highly recommend “Cassie Eats Cockroaches”-it’s a fucking mind bender.
I now humbly plead you to check out Exhorder “My Time”-they came up in NOLA around the same time, but way more old school thrash/punk mixed with that stank ass swamp groove. It has been argued that Pantera swiped their style once Phil joined up.
And now I need to go deep with your Jinjer reacts-love those cats. Cheers and keep digging deep into the NOLA scene.

I feel like we dont agree on Jinjer, they rock my world as much as Acid Bath. But do you know what, that's cool. My best mate takes the piss out of me for liking em, and thats cool too, because music is subjective. I love a ton of punk, noise, grind, death, sludge, alt and even D&B. My missus hates half of that too. Haha.
Because music can be deeply personal its instinctive to leap to the defence but we should all learn to chill, especially in comments. Certain music either hooks you or it doesn't. Its *NOT* a reliable distinguisher of a persons character.
But I can say for sure, if you are digging Acid Bath then that's all cool. I've loved them since the mid nineties and am so pleased to see them slowly get more recognition in a wider audience.
Great reaction, peace and hope this gets you looking into more of their catalogue (it's only really two albums sadly.) RIP Audie.
