Great video, looks like you had a good Solo experience. How much older was the Solo demographic in your opinion?
The solos I say with were 60+, retired. One lady may have been in her 50s. Those were the ones I actually met.

Hi thanks so much for sharing this video. I'll be doing my first solo sailing in April and like you, I purchased a guaranteed interior. Did you have to pay extra for your cabin upgrade?
Yay! I’m so excited for you! I know you will enjoy your first solo cruise. And no I did not have to pay anything extra for the upgrade! They just assigned me to a balcony cabin. I hope you get one! ❤️❤️❤️

Great informative video! I have some questions: You mentioned that you were upgraded from inside room to a balcony room. Did you upgraded by biding using the upgrade link sent by MSC. How much did the upgrade cost you? Also when you originally book you room, did you selected the option with drinks and wifi? When you buy the premium drinking package you have to pay for only one (right)? Thanks for the information.
So glad you found this helpful! But no, this upgrade was not from the bidding process. I was just assigned the room. I added on the WiFi and drink package separately and yes, you only pay for one. 😊
So when you book your 1st cruise with MSC you get a free upgrade. I sailed on the same ship last month for the 1st time and was suppose interior I got a balcony room. For the upgrade you should recieve an email before you leave allowing you to see the prices to upgrade. We just got lucky ❤

You mean before your rooms are available? Yes, the buffet is available as soon as you board the ship!

Thanks for the video! I'm going on the Magnifica for my very first cruise next week. I have a few questions, if you're willing to answer. They're probably obvious to other people but oh well🤷♀How do you communicate with housekeeping/attendants? Do you give the bartender/server your cruise card when ordering drinks, even when ordering from within your package? Do you tip with cash for each drink? And just out of curiosity, what is the little square thing you wear on your shirt? Thanks!
Your attendants will be in hallways as they clean and you can speak then at anytime. The first day they try to connect and introduce themselves. Yes, bar staff will check your card info for drinks to charges against your account. Tips are included but you can tip extra in cash if you like. You didn’t have to sign for them. That was my microphone. 😊

I had the drink package in this cruise but drinks averaged $$12-$15 or so.
