I appreciated the way you did this, Marques. It's a departure from the other "what's in my bag" videos I've seen in the sense that you've got the minimal and functional things down instead of packing your entire studio into your backpack like I've seen others do. While I still find the others enjoyable no doubt, thumbs up for that minimal practicality!
It's a camera backpack. Meant to protect your camera and all your lenses and it does an incredible job of it. Protected all of my gear in Antarctica even when my zodiac was crushed by waves and I was soaked head to toe.
Peak Designs is fantastic with their lifetime warranty. I've had this bag for 3 years now. A year ago, the top zipper started to separate just a little bit. submitted a warranty, and no questions asked, they sent me out another brand new bag. I live in China, and there was a snafu with who would pay the taxes to bring the bag into the country. After the hassle, they told me to just keep the old bag as well, rather than ship it back to them. I then sold this bag to a friend. 6 months later, the side zipper on the old bag I sold my friend blew out. He was up front with Peak Designs about how he came to own the bag, I sent him the emails and warranty claim I had for that bag, and they sent HIM a new bag as well. $260 is nothing for a bag that comes with that kind of service and belief in their product. I now have 3 different PD bags, and I couldn't be happier with them.
I ended up getting this backpack and holy crap it’s amazing. I’ve had it for almost a year and it has been so fun to use. It’s kinda expensive but you really get what you pay for here

I'm totally sure they carry that everywhere :P)
Have had the same backpack but the 30L version for a couple of years...actually I crowdfunded their project on Kickstarter when Peak Design was a small startup! Such an awesome product, I truly love it! It has followed me everywhere I went, like in New Zealand two years ago, the fact that I was able to carry a Phantom 4 with it was brilliant!

Its the warranty that youre paying. I had a 30l ash and as the back panel broke, the company changed my bag. So yeah. Its a lifetime warranty. And also a well designed bag.

Used to carry everywhere my big pentax DLSR, a f/2.8 zoom, my macbook pro, my HD 25 and plenty of dongles.. Now it's just my phone and a compact camera, and frankly I use them a lot more, brought them to many places where I woudn't bring anything before ! Even on long holidays I'd just add an usb battery and an SD reader for my phone to edit raws and grade videos on the go, modern tech is SO convenient.
I've owned the exact same backpack for almost 4 years and its easily one of the best purchases I've ever made. It has more features than what was shown and is made from premium materials so it looks the same today as the day I bought it. I'd highly recommend the Peak Design Everyday Backpack to anyone.

Yeah, it probably does. It does have some back padding but when the bag is stuffed and heavy the back arches. There is a possibility that it even bent my ThinkPad :( (Only the lid is slightly bent like a inverted curved display. But it could have been from opening the lid in the corners and not in the center.)
If you watch one of his more recent videos regarding his move to only carry an iPad, you could see a slight bend when he sets the iPad on the table. I imagine it’ll get worse over time.

It'll probably also be the only thing in my bag as well since I'm going paperless - aside from a small binder with loose leaf paper just in case my professors require work to be done on paper. And my backpack is padded on the back so that it doesn't bend much and acts as a cushion. I'm the person who usually sits on my bag when the floor is dirty and have nowhere to sit, or simply throw my bag on the floor when I get home. I'll be a lot more mindful and treat this iPad like a goddess and place it on a pedestal. Have you any issues with you iPad bending?
Jug It isn’t bent because he takes care of it.The bending problem has been blown out of proportion by clickbaiters like JerryRigEverything who force bend them just because they hate Apple.I’ve had my iPad Pro 11” since launch,regularly carry it in a backpack and no problems.I know that i will never bend it because i have always taken care of my tech.
I have the 30L version in the same color as my everyday carry - it's the best back I've ever had. Also, good choice on not getting the matte black - it scuffs a lot.
I daily carry a backpack/satchel hybrid too. I prefer to go for bags with extra pockets on the front, so I can keep everything separate and easily accessible. I also have a couple smaller boxes that fit in the pockets I put looser/tangly things in. I pretty much always carry a laptop, headphones, charging cables, external HDD, usb drives, Xbox 1 controller, mouse, kindle, wallet, and a couple notebooks/pens.
I still rock a stick over my shoulder with a cloth tied at the end with all my stuff in it... I like to keep it old school.

I'm shocked, that it took MKBHD until 2019 to discover Peak Design....
I daily carry a backpack/satchel hybrid too. I prefer to go for bags with extra pockets on the front, so I can keep everything separate and easily accessible. I also have a couple smaller boxes that fit in the pockets I put looser/tangly things in.
I pretty much always carry a laptop, headphones, charging cables, external HDD, usb drives, Xbox 1 controller, mouse, kindle, wallet, and a couple notebooks/pens.
Amazing stuff i need one for sure.
