This is RIGHT where I'm at. Been in the in between of moving, as well, up till last week and realized I was sick from mold where we were staying. Now trying to get healthy again, but unexpected anxiety brought on by the mold has me fighting to get back into writing regularly. This video came just in time to inspire me to find a fun way to get back into it! Thank you so much ❤️
Yes! A new fresh start is so important to me. That’s why I prefer half year planners because I get a refresh half way thru the year even if everything is working.
I admire how REAL you are with everyone about pretty well everything. By showing us who you are, you allow us to be real, change, and grow. You are encouraging and inspiring. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with all of us.
I just checked my email and immediately made my way over to check out this video, thanks for sharing! I have used my B6 Stalogy for journaling and routines, and I have tried to get it to be more decorative, but sometimes I just need to write things down quickly. I love this mix of journaling and also decorative elements and I see it can be used for plotting out a novel too! When I tell myself it doesn't have to be perfect I actually can set one up.
I love how you are re-purposing things you already have and using stationery/papercrafting supplies to customize and decorate. No matter what you use your notebooks for, it is always more fun to use something that is fun to look at and filled with your favorite things! Hope the writing re-set goes well!
Ooooh I LOVE the idea of having a “yearly” notebook for your projects! It would be nice to look back and see your accomplishments and memories of books from your past ❤
Omg! Timing couldn’t have been more perfect! I have been Googling everything regarding writers’ notebooks for my A6 Stalogy! ❤ Your setup is super cute!
Sarra, I have to say: I am relieved to hear that other authors are struggling to write consistently and it's not just me. I finished and published the last of my four-book YA series, which I love dearly, and immediately plotted out and began writing the spinoff series. I got about 25K words in and began experiencing extreme burnout. So much so I quit, cold-turkey. If I've written, it's been little things here and there, fanfic and such, just because. Seeing and hearing you work to spark that fire in your own writing process is the inspiration I didn't know I needed. So, thank you. I love the idea of trying something new to build the excitement and joy of writing again.
I adore this! You inspire me because I have been stuck in editing mode since January. I can't wait to find my writing joy again. Thank you for the encouragement. I hope you, too, are reignited and enthralled by fun of writing!
I am Just in this moment: reseting my writing. I planner starting plotting last week but couldnt do It. Só, this weekend, i gonna reset It and Restarte...thanks for sharing your process
Love this notebook setup, I hope this sparks the excitement and creativity you've been searching for! I've been eagerly awaiting writer reset. I use a separate leuchtturm A5 notebook for each book I work on. But it encompasses everything: planning, essential crafting notes, plotting and outlining, character arcs/info, drafting and sprint tracking, drafting notes, read-through notes, revision notes, everything! And I find I that all this uses up more of the notebook than I thought it would. Now, if I could just finish a book lol
This sounds great!! I'm excited to see this through and see how it ends up getting used. I'm starting with a book that is almost done with a draft so I might get a better idea with a fresh book but we will see!!
Prior to taking your courses this past year, I felt this question of "do I over promise?" Thank you for encouraging us to keep with our spark. You've been an inspiration, and building the worlds we're working on... creating this new chapter of our lives... Sarra, thank you. Deepest and dearest thank you. You are a guiding light amid so much dark.
I love how your pockets turn out. So many cute things! It is always inspiring to work in a notebook/planner that make you happy to hold in your hands. 💖💖
Totally me! I'm always starting over. Some people don't understand. My thoughts are...we are showing we never give up. I'm also in no way a minimalist. lol I'm so looking forward to Writer Reset! See you Sunday for HB90 kick off! 💜
Good morning, Sarra. Sounds like you are finding 'you' again. I'm so happy for you. I'm getting back into my planner this morning and re-launching my YT channel tomorrow. We got this! Creative Blessings!
After getting 20 inches of snow on Tuesday, this is actually what I needed to get things rolling again. I have been in such a funk lately with our NY weather. I'm ready to get back to my writing and to get the spark again!! Love the A6 Stalogy, I think this might be better for me then the 8 x11 notebook/planner I've been using.
Cannot wait for the Reset!!! Sarra, thank you for your authenticity and always being a cheerleader for us. When I’m stuck or feeling down about my writing ( or lack of) I always head to your channels for a Sarra fix ❤
I can’t wait for writer reset! I completely re-organized my plotting notebook and tweaked some things to start a different project. I need some intellect time on project 1 before I will feel happy with it.
I'm excited for writer's reset! I love the way your setup looks. I totally GET you. I love putting together new planners/journals. Using all of my little bits and pieces and making everything feel just right!
Always excited for a new setup and a fresh start. I love these types of self-hacks, where you know what motivates you and brings up your spark and joy. I can't wait for the Writer Reset videos and for Camp NaNo! Great video as always!
I totally feel this!!! I am in the same mindset with my reading and writing this year!!!! I was just telling my boyfriend that I'm going to reset myself because I've already lost motivation with both for this year with everything going on!!!!! Can't wait to embark on this journey with you!!!!!!
Nice timing with this video. I am in rewrites for my novel and am organizing my ideas in a B6 Wonderland notebook, which is similar in paper and feel to what you are using. I am finding it much easier to slip into my purse than the A5 I was using. I can't wait to see more of your writer's reset. I am working on getting organized for the final rewrite during April's Nano, so I can begin edits.
I recently got a B6 half year stalogy for journaling, and I just love it. I might have to migrate my writing things to one as well. Your washi dashboard came out great!
I feel like you do so much business stuff and have such a busy life that writing must be a challenge! I hope you know that you are doing amazingly and have helped others so much.
Great video! I would love if you did a video on how you order your multiple pov book. I'm working on my own debut novel with 3 pov. I tend to struggle with who's chapter I should choose to comes first to make the story go along.
Love it, now I wanna decorate my boring stuff with dashboards! U mentioned another RUclipsrs plotting videos, could u put a link, please?? Thanks for sharing!!!
This inspired me to rehash my Life Notebook so it can accommodate my own beginning work for my second novel. I am on the discbound A5 size and I don’t decorate, but I watch tons of videos about planners and notebooks with decoration because they are just so fun and relaxing.
This was lovely, relaxing, and inspiring, and exactly what I needed 💚 thank you, Sarra, for the encouragement and for sharing so openly! I wish you all the dragonflies and all the good writing energy ✨
Woohoo! I love this! I would also love to get a more in-depth look at how you use your plot tracker in your notebook. Is it set up the same way as your plotting wall? Do they function basically the same? Also, do you find that you have enough room for your plot whatnots on there or do you ever have to branch out to more pages? Or do you just use page flags on those pages? So many questions!
Thank you, for this, I can't wait to go on your b6 plotting notebook evolution. What is est. WC and Act WC? I know Helen uses the last two columns for how the character feels and the purpose of the scene. Would love to know if you do the same or you've found something else that works specifically for you.
It's just word count and act word count. I like to keep track of where I am in the overall anticipated word count for the scene and the act overall so I keep my pacing!
The washi tape is all from Simply Gilded. The clear covers are from Lauren Phelps Designs: www.laurenphelpsdesigns.com/products/clear-soft-vinyl-notebook-cover
Ok where did you get the crystal paper?! Also what is that cool looking sparkly envelope in the frame? Love this! I like the voice over with the sped up video. It’s get so boring watching slow ass videos with babbling. This made my ADHD very happy 😂
Het Sarra! If you want, i have a sprint tracker in notion! I have it w/ quarterly rollups, and since it is in notion you can filter the information efectivle. If you or anyone want it, tell me, i will share it for free
What links are you looking for? I put Helen's video in there but I might have missed some since I recorded Sunday and then left for vacation! Let me know!!
Omg, this is exactly what i need 🤍🤍✨✨. I haven’t done any writing in more than a year , my muggle job keeps distracting me 😂😂😂😂, but i am itching to get back into it, the timing of this couldn’t be more perfect. Thank you 🌸 (ps that dragonfly charm is gorgeous 🤍)
Anyone else feel excited about fresh starts and new setups?!! 🎉
Absolutely! So happy 🥰

Go for it!

It's really been fun so far!
I am so very, very happy to see you excited again! I'm looking forward to April's videos. You are amazing, Sarra! Thank you for everything you do!
I just ordered some new dashboard pages for my happy planner and you're right, it kind of gave me a spark. I'm looking forward to the writer reset!

I love how you set up your A5 notebook. ❤ Thank you for sharing Sarra ❤
Sorry meant B6
I've never seen that washi dashboard magic, I must try in my next notebook!
Love the sparkly divider tabs!!
I love how your pockets turn out. So many cute things! It is always inspiring to work in a notebook/planner that make you happy to hold in your hands. 💖💖
Amazing how much of a spark you can get from a new notebook!
Totally me! I'm always starting over. Some people don't understand. My thoughts are...we are showing we never give up. I'm also in no way a minimalist. lol

I love how you set this up! I'm really excited for the Writer Reset and HB90! I need a Bootcamp to get my butt re-engaged and organized

I've been stuck in a writing slump, too. I'm happy you talk about mental health as that's something I struggle with as well. You can do this!
I can’t wait for writer reset!
I completely re-organized my plotting notebook and tweaked some things to start a different project.
I need some intellect time on project 1 before I will feel happy with it.
Love it. 💕 Thank you, Sarra. You are such a an inspiration. I am grateful for you. 💕🙏🏼
You’re so creative, Sarra! Love this idea so much!

Looks great! Can’t wait for the series in April!
i loved this video and got the same chic sparrow and used a similar theme (pastel goth) thanks so much for the inspiration!
your videos help me to get so inspired to get restarted on my planners, thank you.
I totally feel this!!! I am in the same mindset with my reading and writing this year!!!! I was just telling my boyfriend that I'm going to reset myself because I've already lost motivation with both for this year with everything going on!!!!! Can't wait to embark on this journey with you!!!!!!
I love watching what you're doing with all the notebooks and the excitement of the writer reset. Looking forward to watching the process unfold!

I'm the same way with the decorating, I get bored and don't want to work in my writing notebook if it's not fun to look at.
I recently got a B6 half year stalogy for journaling, and I just love it. I might have to migrate my writing things to one as well. Your washi dashboard came out great!
I'm loving the size!!

Oh yes let me grab that link!! On vacation so I forgot to add it in!!
I've been enjoying listening to "The Witch's Key" over on your Sarra Cannon channel. Love your writing. ❤
Oh thank you!!!

Can't wait to follow along! I'm prepping to start my second draft. I'm excited and nervous to get back to it after being sick for a couple months 🎉

@@HeartBreathings Thank you, for answering my question. Awesome!
Is there a link for the clear covers?
I love your ruler! Could you tell me where it's from?
It's from Erin Condren!
Needed this inspiration ❤! The washi dashboard is gorg!!!! Where is the washi from?
The washi tape is all from Simply Gilded. The clear covers are from Lauren Phelps Designs: www.laurenphelpsdesigns.com/products/clear-soft-vinyl-notebook-cover
It's not silly at all! I'd just spend more time setting up my planner than ever writing ^^;;;
Ok where did you get the crystal paper?! Also what is that cool looking sparkly envelope in the frame? Love this! I like the voice over with the sped up video. It’s get so boring watching slow ass videos with babbling. This made my ADHD very happy 😂
The crystal paper was from a block of scrapbook paper I got at Michaels a few years ago that had a bunch of crystals and moons in it.
I need that pen! Where did you get it from?
It's from the Cloth and paper monthly subscription. I'll have to look and see which one it is!!
@@HeartBreathings thanks. That’s ok. I like the pen but won’t support their company. Thanks for letting me know.
What does Est. Wc stand for? It’s not n the video but it is part of your plotting page.
Estimated word count!
Het Sarra! If you want, i have a sprint tracker in notion! I have it w/ quarterly rollups, and since it is in notion you can filter the information efectivle. If you or anyone want it, tell me, i will share it for free
She already has a sprint tracker in Notion
@@kokoro_flow oh yeah... i totally forgot i suppose
💜
I don't see any links associated with the video. Am I missing something?
What links are you looking for? I put Helen's video in there but I might have missed some since I recorded Sunday and then left for vacation! Let me know!!
What is the number on your cover? 14,000,605
It's an Avengers End Game reference!
