- 'Ti sento' (I hear you) is a single by the Italian group Matia Bazar, which became a big summer hit all over Europe in 1986. It was the only single from the band that reached the charts in the Netherlands and Belgium. The Italian song with the English version of the song on the B-side reached second place in the Netherlands in both the Dutch Single Top 100 and the Dutch Top 40 in July 1986.

My favourite song ever! A very strong composition with a big climax, thanks to the beautiful voice of Antonella. I love the synth sound, really 80s! This song brings me back to the summer of 1986, when it was a very big hit in Holland 🙂😎

I was last in Holland way back in summer of 2018, Stayed in Zaandam + did day trips to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague-then went to Tilburg for couple of hours then went to one of my fav Theme Parks in the world-Efteling!

This was a huge hit throughout Europe and also in the Netherlands. On the radio, in the shops, on the beach, you heard it everywhere. I was 13 at the time and very impressed by her voice, when you think she is there, she goes the extra mile. The combination with the synthesizer sounds ensure that the song sticks in your head. For me it does, because almost forty years later I'm still playing it. Fantastic song.

Matia Bazar (Antonella Ruggiero... her brother and company) are the Italian "QUEEN" with a female singer... but I think that Queen have a longer carrier and more songs than Matia Bazar...anyway Matia are good group for Italy.

Such a great shame that this song is not known in the UK. It's one of the greatest Italian songs only after Il Mondo by Jimmy Fontana. Again shamefully not known in the UK but I, as a fan of the Italian cansoni think this is a definite number two.

Eh gia': voce proverbiale affiancata a personalita' artistica. In Italia con la Ruggero e Mina siamo sulla vetta. E credo che anche nel resto d'Europa ci siano poche concorrenti... almeno a questo livello. Un po' come dire Battisti come compositore. Sono il primo ad amare la New Wave, ma questa gente del mio Paese non si discute: il massimo in Europa!

Matia bazar waren live noch viel besser! Auf youtube gibt es ein live konzert von 1987 aus dem Alabama in München. Ich schaue es mir jede woche mindestens einmal an. Wenn du das ganze Potential ihrer Stimme kennenlernen willst, hör dir den song "cavallo bianco" an. Den gibts auch als live version in einem konzert in tokyo und im schweizer fernsehen. Alles echt ohne tricks!
