Yup. He's one year older than me. That's how i remember his age. How fast time flies 🥹. Percy would have kids right now if he still lives and got married. But with demigod lives, who knows😅
Not really. Percy never got an official birth year. Fans just speculate its 1993 because the books were released in 2005 and he was 12 in the first book

Leah actually is like in character. She keeps on forgetting its not a competition, and is very competitive. And then she says how much they got out of 100, like being all mathematical and stuff. It sounds a lot like someone to me.

The first question immediately sent me on a rant.
Percy's birth year, despite the insistance of the PJO Wiki mods that it's 1993, is unknown, and unknowable. The claim that Percy is born in 1993 is based on the assumption that the first book plays in 2005, because that is the year it released in. However, if Rick Riordan had wanted the books to play in a specific year, you'd think that he'd have told us who the president at the time of Titan's Curse was, no? Not to mention that the later books especially are on a sliding timeline and reference whatever the hot things to reference were that year. So unless Avengers Infinity War released in 2012 in the Riordanverse, this timeline simply disagrees with established canon.
Yeah from what I understand the books always take place in “the current year” when they’re released, because Rick will just reference whatever pop culture stuff he wants, even though the actual time that passed between events in the books isn’t going to match up with the time between the book releases in the real world. It’s just one of those things you have to brush off, Rick is not thinking that deeply about it
Rick even says that the books take place whenever you read them (I always found it clever how he managed to take most technology out of the picture bc was definitely going to make it more obvious later). He’s even stated that Percy is still 17 (or 18 if he’s that age in Chalice of the Gods, I haven’t read it yet) and will continue to be so each real life year.
So I do agree they shouldn’t have had to say the year for that question.
THIS. I was like “Percy doesn’t have a year of birth” just bcs the timeline of the books are never fixed. Percy and Annabeth was like what? 17? When he had a cameo in MC? And even now in the new book. Isnt he 18? 19?
percy is and forever will be exactly how old you need him to be and i find so much comfort in that fact ❤

I answered most of the questions right. Although I'm embarrassed I couldn't think what Percy's birthday was when I knew I knew it. 😅 I also like how all of the interviewers are bug fans of the series. It just makes the interviews so much better.

I got all of them right... until the last one. Which is kind of weird, bc walker says he's read them 7 times, and I've only read them 4 times. However, a correction on question one. Percy was actually born in 1992, bc tlt takes place before his birthday. So, in june of 2005, he was 12, and then he turned 13 in august 2005, meaning he was born august 18, 1992. Fun fact, i actually share the same birthday as percy. I was also born on august 18, but in 2008, which happens to be the exact date of the luke percy annabeth showdown, where the great prophecy comes true.

Honestly, I think that he is messing on porpuse, people already give the other two a hard time, esp Leah, for not looking like their characters, and in past interviews people were criticizing Leah because Walker and Arayan seemed to know more about her character than herself. In the Estelle question, you can see how he is acting lol.
@sumankumari5004 thank you ❤️ when I was first reading the books in 6th grade, a friend was reading them at the same time, but she was about a book ahead of me. When she finished tlo, she told me about the birthday, but I didn't really believe her until I read it myself lol.

I was telling my younger sister technically Percy is two years younger than me if we are going by the year lightening thief was published because he was 12 in the first book. The book was published in 2005 when i was 14 meaning he would have been Born in 1993 if we were setting a year like They did in Harry Potter. 😂
