However, if Rick Riordan had wanted the books to play in a specific year, you'd think that he'd have told us who the president at the time of Titan's Curse was, no? Not to mention that the later books especially are on a sliding timeline and reference whatever the hot things to reference were that year. So unless Avengers Infinity War released in 2012 in the Riordanverse, this timeline simply disagrees with established canon.
