You'd think this tournament would be a bigger deal than it is, considering it's for the legit claim of "club world champion", but since most of the best players in the world play in Europe anyway, it seems redundant. Kinda like for years it made sense to call the NBA campion the "world champion" cuz all the best players in the world play in that one league.
YES, that's a perfect comparison! I agree that's it's somewhat redundant. It'd also be like if in boxing we had the heavyweight champ fight the featherweight champ. Like uh... the heavyweight is gonna win, this isn't very dramatic
@@snowmansportsmedia I got in to watching the European basketball champions league it's so cool I'm just sometimes wish the NBA and MBA ( Mexican basketball association) had our very own champions league tournament
It would be exciting until you realise that there is only 1 or 2 actually good teams in the competition and even the biggest teams like the European team could not care less about this. Also you know it’s a terrible cup if u have been watching football for almost a decade and only just heard about it recently 😂😂
It will be a bigger deal in the future. The 2025 version will have a normal World Cup system with 32 teams. So it should be a good tournament for once.
It's terrible because there is no competition. It's not like national world cup where people play for their birth country, european clubs just buy the best players around the world, which just renders the competition utterly useless. Unless something is done to reduce these inequalities in the future, it will not be a big deal at all.
For south americans, this competition is very, very important and nobody here wants it to change the way it is right now. In fact, if more than two european teams play in the same tournament, they will always get to the finals, the only way of a non european win the world club cup is in elimination, hoping for the uefa champiom to be on a bad day
No they won't. That is if all teams played it like the format played in the year 2000. Or even if all the teams started at round 1. It isn't fair when you are playing 5 matches vs. someone playing just 2 matches to win the same trophy.
@@thisissolidsnake97 yeah they do in the summer that’s what was supposed to be planned but COVID ruined everything in the sport but after the 2022 World Cup they are going back to the plans they were making
They could and make it a 2 legged tournament and ofc 2 teams from the same country cannot be in the same group, the selected teams should be determined by their scores in their respective champions leagues, for example we have 6 spots for uefa teams and 5 spots for afc teams, means only the top 6 scoring teams from UEFA should be selected.
If all teams played like the format played in the year 2000 or even if all the teams started at round 1, I would have liked this tournament. It isn't fair when you are playing 5 matches vs. someone playing just 2 matches to win the same trophy. In the end, we will all be saying that the tournament is redundant, because all the best players are in Europe, but that's not how it happened in 2000.
The competion structure is unfair, and biased toward UEFA and CONMEBOL teams by entrying directly in the semi final , this claim is also statistically significant in results.
If they win the Asian Champions League, but I doubt that's unlikely to happen, Liga Indonesia is not even one of the top 5 Asian leagues. They'll be facing teams like Al-Hilal, Jeonbuk and Kobe.
All champions league works the same as UEFA. Except some Champions League doesn't have a second and third division like UCL have Europa League and Conference League.

Dont forget Brazil 🇧🇷, sooner or later we gonna win this competition again
@@joaocarrasco643 not if all your talent goes to europe
As someone new to the sport this to me I’m actually pretty excited that this exists. Feel like it should be a bigger deal.

Europe just takes all foreign talents so its pointless...
Thanks for explaining, google didn’t explain it well enough
They should make it like the World Cup. The 32 countries from the previous year. Two of their clubs represent their own nation.
Not enough room in the schedule tbh
@@thisissolidsnake97 yeah they do in the summer that’s what was supposed to be planned but COVID ruined everything in the sport but after the 2022 World Cup they are going back to the plans they were making
they just did that
That be pretty cool

Funny that you need to win the Champions league to win the fifa cwc even though winning the champions league is leaps in difficulty
Wouldn't make remotely any sense if it was the other way around...
🙌 Thanks man!
You got it Bradlee!
Great stuff!
In addition to Palmeiras, Flamengo is classified for the new WORLD
Their should be a competition between afc and concacaf Champions league and go head to head
The competion structure is unfair, and biased toward UEFA and CONMEBOL teams by entrying directly in the semi final , this claim is also statistically significant in results.
To be fair, UEFA and CONMEBOL have stronger leagues/clubs
Its pointless because europe just takes all foreign talents and shove them in their continent...
It’s was supposed to be 24 already but Covid happened
Soon it will be every 4 years with 24 teams
can't 😅
if Indonesia enters you will witness the Persija tiger awakening from its long sleep with Thomas doll

Can you please make a vid on the new format that the club World Cup will have
I'll put it on my to-do list!
32 teams, probably like the Champions League but for all 6 confederation teams.
This why the competition sucks up because it's unfair 😒
It's crap
This is such a terrible competition...
Please do SOUTH ASIAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION, ASIAN CUP, ASIAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE no wonder why tha world look away from Asia 😒

I am the 1000th viewer
Thanks the big boss
7 teams? Is this a joke? 😂🤣
I know right, it's my least favourite tournament cuz it's boring.
There's a new format delete this vid
Is it possible for a winner to not win the CWC cuz I usually see the CWC badge with the ucl patches on kits
