This is the very reason the Colts need to strengthen their QB Room, they should keep Kellen Mond and let Minshew and Ehlinger go and bring in another strong armed QB either through the draft or Free Agency.
In Golf it is called " Hit for Show, Put for dough". In football the long ball is great for highlights but not necessarily the best for winning. Minshew needs a good Tight end and a healthy and smart team around him that knows how to run the plays.
1:15 - Wow he looks SO YOUNG yet so intense and focused!!! Good luck to AP next season!!! Your post-season interviews with players and the pressers really do communicate a sense of dissatisfaction and a feeling of unfinished business. Hopefully, this leads to an insatiable hunger to excel, and succeed, and a 2024-25 post-season drive into the playoffs and Super Bowl.
Alec needs to hit the gym and strengthen his sprinting abilities over the off season. Strong hands and his initial move off the line of scrimmage is crucial if he wants to be a play maker for a long time in the NFL. Wishing for his success and improvement in year 3.
To be fair to Pierce, Minshew doesnt throw the long passes often. Now on the contrary, Alec should take this as a sign that he needs to develop in terms of being useful in other ways. Even if its just gaining more seperation or quickness.
It was less about minshew and more about what he was asked to do. No receiver that only run go routes get a lot of targets. They have to allow him to run more short to intermediate routes.😮
The original light finally went out, and I replaced it. That bulb had been in the light for at least 30 years - probably 50. Sorry someone was rude. We try to keep that nonsense off of here.
Bro, you sound so damn stupid bro why only the Indianapolis Colts fans only say the stupidest shit a consistent quarterback how’s that’s possible tell me how that’s possible we have Anthony Richardson what quarterback is in the market right now that you can say it’s consistent give me five quarterbacks
Some guys just take a bit longer to develop. Alec pierce is no exception to that. But one would argue he didn’t have the QBs capable of bringing out the best in his skill set. I think we give him one more year with a real Deep threat qb to see what he’s made of. Sink or swim in 2024 for pierce.
@@ronniehankins5485 bro no we don’t. We have Michael Pittman, Junior, Joshua, Downs n Pierce with Anthony Richardson coming back Pierce will be ok we don’t need to use that pick the 15th pic on no receiver a safety or a good slot Cornerback everybody keeps saying we need to get a wide receiver. No we don’t. We can get that free agency not the 15th pick or in the second rd maybe 3rd round
@@ryontajames4108 I never said we should draft a WR at 15, I was just saying that I don't believe that Pittman is a true WR1 , and don't forget Dulin should be coming back off of IR.
@@ronniehankins5485 weither ya like it or not, Pittman has always been a #1 for us. Especially this year. Is he a top 5 WR? he'll no. However to deny that he's a # 1 WR is just hating. The guy carries our WR room. And if he's gone this FA period, you're gonna see what a "not real #1 WR" looks like where Pierce is our top guy barley getting 600 yards and 40 catches
Tired of people blaming Minshew for Pierces disappointing year. Why can't he run shorter routes? Why didn't the coaching staff make adjustments? He had 1 or zero catches in 8 games this year! Something is wrong here. It is hard to determine if he should even be a starter.
He is one dimensional. You will never be consistent with one trick unless you’re Mariano Rivera. If your route running isn’t good enough to get separation you’re not going to get the ball. End of story!
I personally don’t think Alex pierce is quick enough to get open enough. He’s good for a couple of good bombs throwed 100 yards downfield that’s about it for him.
Alec Pierce led all WRs in the NFL this season getting open running Go Routes. Pierce was beating his man with no other defenders between him and the Goal Line! Minshew could not deliver the ball that far, so Pierce hardly ever was targeted.
@@KentSterling If you believe this, why don't you complain about Steichen for using plays that required our wideout to run beyond Minshew's throwing ability? You really should buy the all22 package next year. Pierce got open plenty of times because of good play design and personal ability. Not because the defenders decided to ignore him. This sort of response is expected from a Gen Zer, not someone of your... 'experience'
Minchew didn’t have the arm or confidence to throw when Pierce was open.
Without the arm, you will never have the confidence.
He did in the game In Nashville against the Titans. That was a breakout game that showed what he’s capable of.
This is the very reason the Colts need to strengthen their QB Room, they should keep Kellen Mond and let Minshew and Ehlinger go and bring in another strong armed QB either through the draft or Free Agency.
@@SteveCottingham I have never seen Mond practice with the Colts - other than warming up. I'm not averse to him being re-signed, but need to see him.

AR5 to AP14, will be a staple in the Colts offense in 2024
Hope you are right.
@@KentSterling Me too. .lol
we need to go get another wr and let him be a vertical threat who can block and use that to set up deep shots

Really hoping for that 3rd year breakout from Pierce lol
They don’t throw him the ball
Whoahhhhh! Calm down sir, if you want to earn more than get better 😂
I didn't know your head was made of wood (knock, knock).😂
My wife can confirm it.
When we drafted Pierce I was hoping he’d be our cooper kupp. Dudes been a disappointment. Hopefully that will change with AR behind center.

His talents are entirely different from Kupp. Pierce is a straight line deep threat in need of a quarterback who can throw it to him.
I never thought AP would be a WR2. To me, he’s not a 3 or 4.
We need to take a WR at 15.
Hell, we still need a WR1
