The single minded focus of Chinese divers, as well as those of from Japan, reflect their cultural influences. It also doesn't hurt that the Chinese athletes don't have to work at part time jobs. Few athletes get full scholarships from elementary through college and guaranteed a career to coach afterwards.
Diving in chinese is “跳水” ; Divers is "跳水運動員“ 。 The existing translation in the title is wrong, "潛水員“means scuba diving 🥽that wearing a bottle of compressed air dive into deep water.
@FlipnripDIVING you are right about the workout but wrong with the chinese character for diving (jumping) athletes. I guess the translation tool you use could not differentiate divers (jumping from platform) with the divers (suba diving). The Chinese character you use for the title is suba divers.
Thanks sir Zen. 😉. I like the coach braiding the hair also! In the west we always think that the chinese divers are overworked and mistreated for some reason. This is definitely not a video for everyone but I hope the coaches will like it.

I just watched this absolutely transfixed all the way through. Just incredible, really.
Totally here because of Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi's wins!!
And that's just what they allowed to be filmed!! 🦾🤸♂🌊
they get better training than 99% of the places that exist in america

Oh My! Thank you Sammy! I'm trying to learn and I thought what I posted meant chinese diver workout. Is it not?

Great edit sir flip. Nice to see the old and new idols. I also liked that coach braiding hair. They treat their students like their own child. 🥰

The Chinese title is not correct, The content of the video is 「跳水」, 「潛水」is underwater activities.😊

All this to win a $300 gold plated medal pointless
Gold medalists get 750,000 US . They all get lifetime pensions and good career opportunities after they retire from sports if they want to work.

You should complain to your corrupted Government if that's what your athlete earns, what happened to the reward money and advertising endorsement?
