    Thanks for the great video, we are at Blood right now, trying to catch as many as possible. How far from your bobber is your hook please, are those colored weights under your bobber? Best regards

    Any luck ice fishing for them? I've been trying lately, but without any on the ice. A few bites, but I think we are going about it wrong. Downsizing my tackle might help. Innisfail has 2 ponds with fish close to 2 pounds according to a town councillor.

      There a invasive species and it's lawful if you release them once cought there catch and kill dont have to keep though just kill.

    • @Francois_Dupont
      @Francois_Dupont 4 года назад

      @@Wambigles are you in Canada also? i keep trying to fish for "carp" like fishes and i am only catching catfish. i might have tried for 200hours and caught maybe 50cat fish and nothing else.
      i mainly tried chumming with grinded up cereals, bread and corn. using with corn on the hook, i never caught a single carp, sucker or other similar fishes. i am really starting to give up here. i am located in Quebec.

      You might want to rethink your statement. These are an invasive species that was introduced into Alberta's river system due to flooding. One lonely fish can reproduce using another species sperm. We are required by law to beat their brains out or cut their heads off and dispose of them.

      Tell me about it I live in uk and carp are so well respected we buy hundreds of pounds worth of equipment to help the carp and make sure they are healthy and in good condition not smacking them in a head with a rock

    • @zhaminoes5830
      @zhaminoes5830 3 года назад +4

      @@connorwillcox980 well it's different in the UK compared to here. These fish were never originally here and were illegally introduced. They reproduce fast and have devastating impacts on native fish. So many trout lakes have been taken over by them, and the fishing has gotten terrible. They compete with native fish for food, and eventually just end up taking over. Many river systems and lakes are at risk to these. Without very many natural predators here they thrive. It is the law here to catch it and kill it or else who knows what will happen to so many more of our lakes and rivers.
