1:40 To answer your question, if it’s a wildcard competition, there are a lot of restrictions because it’s a competition and they’re looking for the artist’s raw talent so you’re only allowed to do minimal stuff, but in anything else, like taras stanin’s stuff for example, it’s all his choice because there are no restrictions, it’s his channel, his music, so he has all the freedom to edit his stuff in the way that feels authentic to him which is taras stanin’s special way of showing his music
Taras is a musical genius!! Taras is not just a beatboxer but he is such an amazing singer!! What you are describing is the old way of doing beatbox, Taras is changing the world of beatboxing!!
This is a musical production and not a competition submission. A lot of people make the mistake of assuming this was going to be a raw performance. He mixes and masters the audio his personal videos. What he’s doing is so far ahead of what other beat boxers put out on RUclips. He’s a genius in the way that he’s elevating beat boxing to something everyone can enjoy. That being said, the majority of the work is all him. He’s shown multiple times his ability to perform these pieces without the enhancements. It’s not 50% production it’s more like 20%. Watch his livestreams.
pretty much all beatboxers mix and master their stuff - Taras is especially good at it. This is something else, he's going wild on the mic. He also went wild on the laptop and cleaned this up a LOT. No autotune. He's just bending the rules, and creating a strange middle place between beatboxing and legitimate music.

You are correct that in competition pieces they are either not allowed to or are very limited in the effects they can use, but this is NOT a competition piece. This is a musical piece. Taras performs it and afterwards goes through and adds all the beautiful elements he does to make it sound richer and fuller. He does this himself. The man is a genius with sound. no layers, just like u said fx's: delay, reverb and probably chorus. go and check his videos. one of them he doing it without effects.
