*Siren DJ & Powercall* BC Ambulance Paramedics Responding In Vancouver!

- Captured here are various units of the British Columbia Ambulance Service (BCAS) responding in the city of Vancouver with spectacular siren use! BC Ambulance paramedics have a bit of a reputation for being 'siren DJs' and here you will see why. You will also see several Advanced Care Paramedic units rushing to calls using the 'Powercall' siren tone, which is normally quite unusual to hear in British Columbia.

Love the Powercall siren on those units, it sounds quite nice. I find the people driving the explorers quite skilled getting around traffic and at the same time keeping a speedy response.

I swear the powercall is just as effective as the Hi-lo. It has the Doppler effect and is more pleasant to hear

I love the light designs as well on these vehicles or light placements sirens sound calls match the energy of the emergency.

Thank you! Yes I agree, the vehicles are designed very nicely and lights and sirens are effective. Actually only some of the Ford Explorer rapid responders have a Rumbler siren, but I have not heard it being used so far (it was broken on at least one unit).

VPD kinda snuck themselves into the video (pretty much just assisting BCAS in clearing intersections).
Yea I’ve seen some photos and videos of it, but haven’t checked it out in person (not sure if I will though because it looks hideous if you ask me…). 😆

That’s an Advanced Care Paramedic Unit, not a supervisor. And yes, they were using the Powercall tone.
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses No other paramedic service has that kind of siren except BCAS. And the question is why are they using it when they should not be using that siren.

Why does the SUVs have rear facing takedown lights?
I never noticed that actually. But wouldn’t be considered takedown lights when rear facing. Probably just for visibility.

Havent seen the Explorer in Vancouver. I spotted some Durango’s.
There’s Explorers around Vancouver all the time. I see them responding pretty much every day.

@@KoQuitlam88 No worries! I did not mean to sound passive aggressive 😅 If you want to see the Explorers your best bet is around VGH and St Paul’s hospital. Or at the intersection of Cambie and West 12th Avenue for responses. The Durangos (and even some very old Tahoes) are also still around, but often used as supervisor units.
