I first seen Cypress Hill perform live in Scotland, UK in 1994 after hearing about them in the classic TV show Yo! MTV RAPS I will never stop listening to their music 😊
CYPRESS HILL classics: - HOW I COULD JUST KILL A MAN - HAND ON THE PUMP - ROCK SUPERSTAR - SHOTS GO OFF - I WANT TO GET HIGH - Dr GREENTHUMB - HITS FROM THE BONG
I believe Cypress Hill is a street they rep in South Gate, South Central LA. The Lead (B Real) was a Blood. He was shot with a shotgun and survived, so he started banging less and rapping more.
I was in this video me and my homegirls at The Fillmore club. We even kicked it with them afterwards and smoked the fattest blunt. Y’all need to listen to their very first song called - How could I just kill a man. Back in 2019 Cypress Hill was honored with a Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame.
To my fellow millennials and those now discovering music not allowed to be played in their classroom, please give '90's Rap&Hip Hop and Alt/Grunge music a serious listening to and I promise you'll find A LOT great songs you thought you wouldn't love.🤘🎸
You need to listen and react to the entire 3rd album Temple of Boom? The album is considered on of the best albums produced by any genre in the 90's? The song Illusions is an absolute Masterpiece!
This is a Hip Hop group that happens to be Latino. The first rapper is B-Real and he is Mexican and Cuban American. The second rapper is Sen Dog (Mellow Man Ace’s brother) was born in Cuba and moved to California when he was young. The DJ/Producer is DJ Muggs and he is Caucasian and was born in New York. He has a very unique sound. He produced the beat for House of Pain’s Jump Around and has produced for other groups as well. Cypress Hill was always about smoking weed and talking about gang life on the West Coast (LA). Their most popular songs are upbeat party songs but they have some harder hitting songs. Please react to: How I could just kill a man I ain’t going out like that Red Light Visions
They were really famous before this song. Once How i could just Kill a man was in Juice thats when they blew up. They have a deep deep catalog, their 3rd Album Temples of Boom is a damned Classic.
If you like this one from Cypress Hill, then you have to check out their song " HOW I COULD JUST KILL A MAN " You will definitely enjoy it. Check it out!
Cypress Hill- Rap Superstar has samples from interviews of Eminem and Noreaga giving testimonies about the rap business, It's later on in Cypress Hills career but its still dope though
cypress hill i s an area in southgate, in LA. I believe both breal and sen dog are cuban. i read an article about the time this song came out that they were still active gang members at the time. they had huge beef with ICe cube and wrote some dis tracks
CJ Muggs, who wrote this also wrote Jump Around, their rapper B-Real wasn't ready to go back in the studio, so he offered it to Ice Cube who declined so he gave it to House of Pain. Muggs said the beat for this song was based off Jump Around, at the same time he was writing the hook, some rapper named Chubb Rock talked some shit on B-Real, so they ended up adjusting the lyrics and made the hook about him, so the song is actually a dis track to Chubb Rock, who to this day I couldn't pick out of a line up....lol.
Almost forgot, speaking of B-real, of his many future colabs after this, my favorite was in the early 2000s, when Rage Against the Machine had differences with lead singer Zack, who walked away for a while, they asked B-Real and Public Enemy's Chuck D to fill in and made a record under the name Prophets of Rage, you should check it out!
Please react to: Funkdoobiest 'Wopbabalubop' featuring B-Real (from Cypress Hill). It's another catchy joint from that era. Funkdoobiest, Cypress Hill and House of Pain were all a part of the Soul Assassins hip hop collective, along with a few other bands.
You should check out hits from the bong you should check out spark another owl illusions boom biddy bye bye the first song is off black Sunday album in the next three are off temples of boom
"They are just wearing stuff out of their closet." That was the 90's fashion.
They have an endless amount of great songs.

-Hand on the Pump

How I could Just Kill a Man (Spanish version) is fire also
They were already huge in the hip hop and weed cultures before this. This song was their biggest crossover/pop hit.
*Cypress Hill (Hits From The Bong) (Roll It Up Light It Up Smoke It Up) (I Want To Get High)*
Brings me back to the mid 90’s when I first started smoking weed
I first seen Cypress Hill perform live in Scotland, UK in 1994 after hearing about them in the classic TV show Yo! MTV RAPS
I will never stop listening to their music 😊

cypress hill - hits from the bong
That ending always throws people off, I remember seeing this video in the 90's and it threw me off like, What?
It’s a genius sample to end on for that tune…
I believe Cypress Hill is a street they rep in South Gate, South Central LA. The Lead (B Real) was a Blood. He was shot with a shotgun and survived, so he started banging less and rapping more.

Cypress Hill is the area of Brooklyn, NY where they're from. The members are Cuban, Mexican, Italian and Puerto Rican.
What’s crazy is they were also played on the “alternative” show Request Video on KDOC after Wally George
