I had this saved on my playlist for a long time, after watching "My Mister", I fell in love with mr. Lee, and his chemistry with Jieun. Breaks my heart to this day knowing what happened to him, I hope today's society grows some heart and kindness to others. I hope he's resting in peace.
This is such an excellent drama. Caught me by surprise when I started watching it and I was drawn in by how beautifully it unfolded. One of my best dramas of all time. Deserving of all the awards it got.

I really love this drama. I hope i can forgetting the story and can rewatch the drama again as new audience. The feeling i get when watching this drama is one of the most beautiful feeling i ever feel in my life.
I didn't feel this show was just about the two main characters. It was about people helping each other to heal. It was about family and feeling accepted and cared about. I loved the way those recordings she made helped free the loan sharks son from his fathers influence and compelled him to do the right thing. It would be interesting to see if he manages to get his life back on track and go back to the person he used to be... the kind boy who loved and helped her... I think the love between the two main characters is a different kind of love... it's beyond romantic... it's like two people who were dying and somehow managed to save it other. I loved how his older brother got his self-respect back by working and organising her grandma's funeral. Both of his brothers were set free when they realised their mum was right to be worried about the middle child who looked so pitiful and never complained... when they had the chance to be strong for him. It was just a beautiful crafting of the way humans can heal each other. Anyone who reduced it to a possible romance between an older man and young woman missed the point. Yes, there was some possible attraction between them, but mostly need... emotional need.

Possibly there could be romance in the future cause certainly they liked each other you an see it in their eyes at least Lee ji An made it clear that she liked him.

In the last episode, enough time had passed... so maybe they'll get together if there's another season. I think his wife moved to America to live with their son near her sister and they got a divorce. They were both in a much better place emotionally when they met again. I have never felt so sad at the sight of someones determination to be happy. It really was an emotionally devastating show.
The show really doesn't need to be romantic to be perfect. I like the open ended conclusion. The possibility of it being just a story of human relationship through a unconventional pairing is beautiful to me
really well said-- i loved this drama, and I agree - the emotional bond was between two humans who were both struggling and ended up reaching out to help other swim to shore
"사랑하는 사람을 잃고 나면 충분히 슬퍼하고 아파해야 다시 이겨낼수 있다"는 드라마 대사가 생각나네요. 충분희 애도도 못하고 화나고 분해서 일까, 아직도 너무 많이 생각나고 아프네요. 난 팬도 아닌데 그저 그의 연기를 좋아 했는데 왜 이렇게 아깝고 마음이 아픈지... 그가 떠나고 나니 이제야 내가 얼마나 이선균 배우님 을 좋아 했는지 알겠다. 40대 배우중에 누가 드라마, 영화, 예능 모든 장르에서 이렇게 많은 감동과 웃음을 줄수있을까...우린 독보적인 배우를 잃었다. 너무너무 아깝고 안타깝고 화나고 맘이아프네요. 배우님 그리워서 예전 영상 찾아 보고 있어요. 멋진 배우로 영원히 기억할게요. 배우님, 유작 꼭 개봉되기 바래요. 이제 그곳에서 편히 쉬세요. 지켜주지 못해 미안합니다.
I just discovered this awesome K-drama a few months ago. I was blown away by the story, the acting and the music. IU is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen and her co-star is totally wonderful. I bought the original soundtrack and listen to it often.

I was totally surprised by it too. On episode 12 - and I have no idea how it will end (which to me is a good thing)! May be my favorite K-drama.

그래함 봐보자..하고 봣는데 딱 2회까지는 몰입감이 안됫는데
그후부터는...진짜 인생띵작이엿습니다...
물론 시즌2가 나올리 없겟지만 진짜 너무너무 전체적으로 완벽한 드라마 였다고 생각됩니다
