Ok guys that's basically how to cheat a filter fault by powering down but it will come back it clearly needed a filter change That's not how you maintain a aspiration system you didn't test for fire activation/low air flow and high airflow lets hope the place doesn't burn down and no-one dies NAUGHTY NAUGHTY!!!!!
I agreed with you Carl. This is the wrong T&C or maintenance of the ASD system. In some of the cases, the technician uses "smoke can" to spray on the sampling hole, it is the wrong way because we need to test sensitivity at the Alert Stage, not at the FIRE 2 (or even higher) ASD/VESDA/HSSD is designed to protect business continuity at the earliest stage, so the T&C and maintenance also need to be done for the same purpose.
