So far one of the best how to make hair bows videos out there! Very easy to understand and follow along. Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us😊
I -have watched a lot of videos to try and work out how to make these bows, and yours is the best. Good instructions to follow and you did it at a pace that was easy to understand. xx
Girl I've watched many of your Bow teachings and I've got to say I adore your methods. Please tell me how to make a THIRD Hand....your pin stand. I've got arthritis and SO need your help with making that. Hugs and Love
Thank you for sharing! I have been wanting to find a way to make a bow with three colors and this will be perfect! i have no skills but your explanation makes me think I can do it. I appreciate your help!
Just found you. I have just started to make bows and you have the most easy to understand and to follow video I have watched so far, thank you so much!!!!! Definitely following you here and on FaceBook
Can you sew the stitches you do by hand with the sewing machine using the longest stitch? Seems to me that would be faster but I’m sure there is a reason not to do that. Please explain. Your video is wonderful.
This is amazing🤗. I am just starting to make bows and came across this tutorial. This is GREAT! What did you use to make the holder that you are using? BRAVO! Do hope I get a reply. Thank you!
Thank you this was my very first video and I started making and selling those to help fund the channel if you come join my Facebook group "Crafting with Jeanine" you will see a resent post from on what my new ones look like and how to order if you would like one thank you for your support and as always HAPPY CRAFTING!!!
sorry this was my very first every video but if you go to this link it is my facebook page where I share all the videos I have a list of the measurements on it just scroll down till you see it thank you facebook.com/craftingwithjeanine/
I use lined alligator clips and no I wrap the center first then put the clip in and never have a clip fall off there are a few of my other videos that I show how I put my clips on
That's a great idea too! Yeah, first I used wire edged for both colors, but I eventually found that made it too stiff, but if just the 25 foot ribbon is wire edged and the secondary color (all the rest) is not, it made a nice blend. Your tutorial is great and no you didn't talk or go too fast! Cheers!
I'm at the part where I just stitched the middle with the upholstery thread and am suppose to pull the thread to cinch the middle but I'm pulling and pulling and nothing is happening. Could my ribbon be too thick? I'm using a kind by Offray and it says it's 100% polyester.
it could be that if you can get it to cinch alot pull as much as you can then start wrapping and pulling as tight as you can to get he center as tight as you can
We are about to start a RUclips channel about how to make bows. The first one we made was a flat Bow there medium bows but So cute and now we're making your bows
if you go to this page on facebook facebook.com/craftingwithjeanine/ you will find a post with all the different sizes for this bow it should be at the top but if not scroll down till you see
Another great video! I'm new at this and there are 2 problems I'm having. 1. The ribbon I'm trying to buy has a review that said it was too flimsy for bows. Does using the Aussie hair spray solve that problem? 2. I can't find a wood burning tool in where there are not people unhappy with it. The reviews for these things show a lot of discontent. Thank you. :o)
Ok so on the ribbon what ribbon is it that you are trying to get cause some yes are very flimsy but it also depends on the style bow you are trying to make like this style you could use the flimsier ribbon for the shorter cuts and a grosgrain for the long part and then spray with hair spray when have finished the bow and as far as then wood burner I bought mine from Walmart years ago but this one here is very similar to it just keep in mind if you are going to use it just for ribbon I wouldn't worry too much about what people are saying about how it does at wood burning amzn.to/3e26DfS

You did great on this video.love your bow.i will be trying to make it.thanks to you and this video it will be easier for me.by the way I love your needle idea that is a great job and I will be doing that too.thankyou
Ok, ok, I guess the reason you don’t use a sewing machine to sew the stitches across the ribbon is because of the type of strong thread that you use? But I have a Janome heavy duty machine that I could use strong thread on and I could leave a long tail so would there be any reason not to? It just seems like it would save a lot of time. P.S. I HAVE WATCHED A LOT OF TUTORIALS ON HOW TO MAKE BOWS AND HAVE NOT “CAUGHT ON” UNTIL I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO. I KNOW I CAN DO IT NOW. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, YOU ARE AWESOME!
two reasons why I don't use a sewing machine one is I am not that great with it just yet I just started using one so I do not keep it out cause I have limited space and only take it out when I really need to and the other is for me it is easier and quicker to do it by hand but if it works for you I say go for it and I am so glad I could help
watch one of my newer videos I have a better mat now that I got at hobby lobby but the one I'm this video is just a 12x12 cutting mat with I piece of glass over top

I have mastered this type bow because of your video thank you so much for making a video. My daughter loves this type of bow.
Wonder if i could just run it through my sewing machine? Beautiful bow thankyou so much
you could but the middle would not look right you need the spacing between the stitches to get the cinch right
Great tutorial. I really liked the foam and pin thing! Thank you for a tutorial in English.
Excellent great tips and lovely bow 👏🏻👏🏻

What do you use to 'stabilise' your bows eg stop them going flat between craft shows? x Thank you x
I use hairspray and use shallow long totes and use dryer sheets between layers and only layer up to 3 rows
Thank you Jeanine x I love this bow and I can’t wait to have a go at your simple folded bow x
What length cuts would I need for 1" ribbon? I'm going to make one of these for my daughter's birthday. Love your method!
Would it be 1×21 1/2" 1- 10 1/2" 1- 9" and 5" spikes?
for that size ribbon I would do that same as the 7/8
Okay, makes sense. I was making it too complicated. 😂
Awesome job very helpful. thanks for your share.
Awesome awesome video love your technique
Love your set up
How much do you charge for this bow ? If you were to sell it ?
Great video , i actually dont get lost with your instructions wich im so thankful for. Keep the videos coming please

What do you use to spray your ribbon with so it don't go flat
I spray mine with hairspray aussi instant freeze
love learning from Jeanine
Love the way you made that bow :)
So glad I ran into this video I love it ty
What kind of clips do you use and do you put them on before you put on the center?
I use lined alligator clips and no I wrap the center first then put the clip in and never have a clip fall off there are a few of my other videos that I show how I put my clips on
Great tutorial. One suggestion that I do, use ribbon that is wire-edged so that you can easily re-fluff up your bows when they go flat. :)
I tried using wired ribbon and didn't like it I spray mine with hairspray to keep their shape
That's a great idea too! Yeah, first I used wire edged for both colors, but I eventually found that made it too stiff, but if just the 25 foot ribbon is wire edged and the secondary color (all the rest) is not, it made a nice blend. My daughter has no hair! What’s the best way to attach the bow to a stretchy headband without it peeling off? Just hot glue?
are you talking the FOE headbands or the nylon ones
Jeanine James FOE headbands
ok what I do for those is put the bow on an alligator clip and just clip the bow to the headband
Ok thank you!
Also, what's the best way to attach the bow to the alligator clip? Thank you for your help!

have you ever used 7/8" ribbon combined with the 1-1/2" ribbon?
I have, especially with spikes. Also use it when i want to make doublesided fabric.

it comes out to be about 3" wide
Great tutorial!
Where did you get your pin stabilizer?
I made it
Jeanine James. What did you use to make it? That it's a really cool idea to make sure everything is centered.
just some pieces of foam glue together and a pin in the middle
I bet you could use a house hold sponge too.
Omg! Too cute!😊

What sizes where the ribbons?
I use 1.5 for the first one and 7/8 for the Second

What are the sizes for the 1.5
1x25 1x12 1x10
