Jimmer in the bimmer?
"You've heard of Elf on a Shelf"...
_Translate to English:_
Jimmer in the winter?
The question is, in what language does bimmer mean winter? 🤔
"Sheer Vibin' Pleasure"
Massive congratulations Jimmy
Bimmers gonna announce his driving the LMDH 2024 onwards
Hey Bim!
The best part of your job is that when you do driving events you have a backup story no matter the outcome. If you do amazing, you can say, "well of course, I'm a Praga Championship Winner ya know!" And if you do poorly, ""Aw shucks, I'm just a silly youtuber with humble shed beginnings."
With ready-made excuses like that, he really is a racing driver.
and if you ever crash into a wall, just say "I think Ericsson hit us"
To be fair he officially drives the Praga as the celeb amateur next to the pro driver still.
If you are within 2 secs to the pros on a new track in a new car, I think you deserve a seat in a race AM team.
Road to Le mans Jimmy edition!
Unfortunately he would have to come up with the money for that seat which is no easy task.
@@Indykeebler true but finding sponsors wouldn't be impossible for a guy in his position
@@andrewesau51 NordVPN to the rescue!
Most have to pay for a seat on an AM team.
Pretty DAMN good Jimmy!
Ty dad ❤️
Hi to Jimmy’s dad… your son is an incredible guy. We are all proud of him, and hope he keeps going from strength to strength.
Watching Jimmy, helped me get though some of the hardest and darkest days of my life … thank you
@@bloodangelz jimmy's dad would have a lot to be proud of, but unfortunately he passed away a long time ago. Jardier isn't his actual father.
@@whoindeed3956 I actually remember now you say that, and Jimmy talking about him.
I feel really bad about my above comment now… shall I delete it?
@bloodangel Jimmy is a super nice guy. He would understand. You’re alright.
You know you've made it when I can't tell whether you are making a crazy video about Simracing, or about real life racing
I skipped the video yesterday cause I thought it was simracing🤣🤣
@@subilasikwese5459 was it not?
@@yahorb no, it's real life
I think it's a huge testament to not only the car, but to your own abilities Jimmy, to get in a car that you haven't driven before, on a track that you don't know, and to put in times like you did. Yes the car is a big factor in that, but your own abilities are also a huge part of it.
factory driver wasn't too happy ...... "f.... he's as quick as us!"
@@gusmlt when did they say that?
I agree - that factory driver seemed a bit put out actually😂 Not very forthcoming with compliments about how fricken amazing Jimmer is to jump in and be fast. More like “yeah, the car is so good that’s why you’re fast 😆 “
But that’s what these comments are for - hopefully Jimmy reads them and sees how much we respect him, his talent and his ability. 👍
@@audittlivereaction1964 In the beginning he explains they are 1:48 / low 1:49, or just under 1:50 on a long run. Then mentions those times are when the track is running great, but because of rain the day before Jimmy goes out he thinks they would be around 1:50 and to get anywhere near that is amazing. Jimmy then dunks a 1:49 with tires that are starting to wear. 🙌
I think that BMW definitely values the opinions and inputs of a semi-professional driver since many M4 GT4's will be driven by drivers with similar skills and racing experience. Having a race car that's approachable for "everyone" must be a key target of the project.
Also allows them to have someone try the TC from the point of a novice rather than someone who hasnt used it irl and wouldnt like it.
@Doitsuguy im glad you reiterated exactly what the first guy said. I wouldn't have understood the first time
My thoughts exactly. They’re getting killed by Aston and Mercedes in sales to the Am teams
they only want his feedback in order to help him go quicker off a beginner setup. They have pro drivers which have already driven the car with feedback.
Thank you, for not downplaying your-self, your are doing a magnificent Job, and for your viewers.
Stay out of the barriers.
Jimmy Broadbent BMW GT4 driver confirmed
ACC is soo realistic nowadays
ACC after UE5 upgrade
@@samkwant4050 Which is never happening because Kunos is done with Unreal.
@@namesii1880 sad
Every time the pro drivers set a goal for jimmy saying "that will be impressive" and then Jimmy does it, they go "hmm.. not bad"...I think they were a lot more impressed than they let on to be 🤣🤣 He's coming after their jobs me thinks
My Spanish wife winced on hearing your pronunciation but I couldn't be more proud. Good job jimmer, insane to see how far you've come
Wow - I don't know why - but I always feel such happiness when I see you moving through your life in such a way. Amazing work!!!. So, how do we get you to Le Mans?????
Porsche's Road to Le Mans series with MIchael Fassbender but with Jimmy Broadbent. pls.
Right. I'm so ridiculously proud of him for the last few years.
This has to be Jimmers greatest achievement by far. It’s crazy to think where he started from to where he’s at now. Congrats Jimmy
Even greater than winning the Praga Cup?
@@scottporter4524 i mean i think so, here he is driving a car that's not out yet (at least when this was recorded) for a official manufacturer and it's quite a big one
@@scottporter4524 they're obviously very different achievements, but this sort of "grunt work" so to speak isn't the kind of thing your average RUclipsr ever gets to do, even including the very few that do IRL stuff on the side. For lack of a better term, this is "real racing driver" stuff in a very specific way I think.
@@scottporter4524 That’s a good question, idk. It’s Jimmy progressing in his racing career by driving a GT4 car so…
I think winning competitions is inherently more of an achievement, but this is definitely a step up in race class. It's awesome to see him doing so well too. I hope we get to see a Jimmy Broadbent GT4 season!
This is why I like GT4 class. They feel a lot more natural, plenty of grip, amazing for close races.
I imagine it was a really good experience for BMW to see how the car is for an AM who is unfamiliar with the car and circuit. That sort of data is really important for a car that is going to be shared among PRO/AM drivers. That being said they must have been very impressed with your performance. Awesome result considering the circumstances.
Exactly my thoughts. Id imagine on most weekends its an AM driver behind the wheel. The pro will be able to drive whatever is put in front of them (for the most part), so need to cater to the buying the car.
I suspect that BMW have seen how JB has developed in the Praga championship and they also see a commercial potential. Huge brand potential given how large a band of followers we are. I really wish you all success and look forward to seeing you compete in a GT4 race soon!
Loved your interview w Hammond….helping him “to understand”
Sim is a real, possible bridge. Not for all….but for some!
Fingers crossed we’ll see you in F1 car, one fine day 😘
But we already saw him in an F1 car! ;) Had the perfect rubber... sponsor on it. :P
You gotta give yourself credit Jimmer, a car you have never driven before on a track you have never been to nor driven around and you go below the time, a pro driver suggested would be great for you to match or even get close to. That is a serious achievement, keep up the great work.
Jimmer, you’re not just a sim racer now. I think you’re allowed to say you’re an amateur driver now. Since you literally actually were the amateur driver in a pro-am competition
I think we've entered the final phase of Jimmy the RUclipsr before he transitions to Jimmy the actual bloody racing driver. Bloody well done mate.
From a shed to this, incredible.
jimmy was only about 0.5 to 1s off pace? really shows his growth as a driver
I realised something watching this. I had absolute confidence that you would keep the car on the track and that you would get up to speed quickly, you have demonstrated time and time again that you have the skills.
I'm looking forward to seeing what this year holds for you racing wise, you might be a AM driver but you aint no slouch behind the wheel.
Loved the video too.
Just shows you have a natural ability to throw a car around a track even when the car is new and the track is new to you. Well done mate, you did great.
Proud of ya Jimmer! What a great experience to be apart of! best wishes in 2023
I seem to recall quite a while ago Jimmy choosing to drive a BMW GT3 in a sim race at a time when no one really wanted to drive it as it wasnt considered competitive. But he remained loyal to his Bimmer and if Im not mistaken BMW took notice. I'd really like to know if Jimmy is now reaping the rewards of that loyalty. As mentioned elsewhere, the GT4 is going to attract a lot of AM drivers and so having one jump in during testing makes sense, but they could have chosen anyone and they chose our Jimmer.
Truly a testimony to what humility, hard work and talent can bring. Well done, you shed-dwelling sim racer you.
I'm proud of you buddy. From where you've come from, to where you are now. Don't sell yourself short! Cherish this!
73's, cheers!
Been watching your channel for about 3 years now and I'm so proud of how far you have come! Go Jimmer!
I think a big part why jimmy was also able to get up to speed that fast might be his experience in Sim-Racing. With his Videos about tons of weird hyper, super and Race Cars he has basically trained himself of being as adaptable as possible.
well done sherlock
By no means one of the longest subscribers, but the progress you've made in your driving career in the last 2-3 years is insane to watch. Congrats Jimmy, fully deserved.
They don't invite you to something like this for the fun of it Jimmer.
Keep going legend, you're making us proud.
Unbelievable stuff, Jimmy. So, so cool and inspiring to watch your journey!
Put a smile on my face when Jimmy called himself an "Amateur racer" at the end and not a "simracer". With 2+ years of him not believing that he was deserving of a real race seat, constantly saying that his isn't a real life racer, it's nice to see him starting to gain that self esteem and confidence in himself...especially cause he's not bad at all (I mean, he won the Praga Championship)!
Keep it up Jimmer! Can't wait to see where you'll end up in the very near future!
About Almeria circuit in sims, I think there's a very rough (and old) version of it for rFactor...
This is just awesome to see! I remember watching you when you had 7000 subscribers and to see you now is just absolute bliss!
This is either a really nice thing BMW have done, or a fantastic bit of marketing. Probably both. Either way it’s really awesome to see you getting these opportunities and I hope you’ll be getting many more!
7:19, that mechanic is going all Predator Arnie holding the rear end up! lol
Jimmy actually set his fastest lap in that hire car.
Remember the fastest car you can drive is a hire car Top Gear confirmed this.
p.s. I am playing and this is awesome Jimmy
amazing!!! and credit to BMW in giving jimmy time to experience it
An unfamiliar car, an unfamiliar track that's still slightly wet, and you got within a second of the drivers that have been perfecting their times for 2 weeks with better conditions. That's well impressive, Jimmer
BMW has always been my favourite brand, for better or for worse (not super hot one some of their modern designs and decisions, but that's another discussion), so it's super cool to see them partnering with my favourite driving RUclipsr! Keep at it Jamble!
Once a man in a shed with a dream... Now a man living that dream! Noice Jimmer!
Congrats Jimmy, you looked awesome out there.
Absolutely amazing!
I always have a weird emotional feeling seeing you doing your real world racing.
Incredible to see you go from Sim to IRL and absolutely smash it!
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous, but also very happy for you and happy that you share this with us...
If anyone asks who my true life hero or inspiration is, it has to be this guy. I'm so in awe of what hes achieved. He will probably never read this but hey ho.
What a beautiful view . cool track.
Wicked video, hope more opportunites come from this, nice driving
I love how BMW driver's target changed ever so slightly after Jimmy achieves a better and better time. First off they were like "if he can get close to 1:50 that will be very good", then in the end when he got 1:49s - "not bad"
This should make you quite uncomfy in their position as a guy from simracing challenges their level of skill.
Thanks for bringing us along jimmer, this is so cool. Extra terrifying that you couldn't do any prep.
Hope you‘ll get more oppurtunities like this to show your potential and development as a driver 👍🏻 Well done mate
Blew their expectations out of the water. Love to see it Jimmer
Despite Jimmy kind of being hard on himself, I think he actually provided BMW with some great data here. For him to get into that car and get up to speed so quickly is a good sign. A pro will drive the wheels off anything they sit in, but jimmy wasn't far off, all things considered! They must have left there feeling good about their car.
That's awesome, man! Congrats!
"...i'm a youtuber"
>Won Praga Cup
That thing just sounds incredible. Looks like an amazing experience!
Good job Jimmer, it's not the size of your stint, it's what you do with it. Shoutout to BMW for the opportunity, nice one.
Jimbo Slice you're a cool dude. Really enjoyed this video. Great job getting under 1:50 :)
looks like this won't be the last time he drove this beast!
He started in his shed, now he is driving a BMW M4 GT4.. incredible 👍🏼
Thanks for watching!

Great video! Brilliant to see the crossover
Top stuff Jimmy, very impressive lap times, keep pushing
that billet hub piece at 9:04 wow

Jimmy: I'm just a youtuber
Also Jimmy: I want to show the world I'm not just a youtuber
7:17 - oh my god
Congrats Jimmy!
Things are just getting better and better!way to go JB👍
Great work Jimmer Onward and upward! If it were me I would have made those nice progressive 20 laps not to your or anyones level still. Had that break and then put the car in the bin on turn 1
Solid job JB!🫡
lovely engine note on that bmw
You can't end this video without giving an opinion on how this compares to ACC now, c'moonnn
ngl, that track is pretty sick.
I am so proud of you. Congratulations Jimmy 👍❤️
jimmy you bugger - you a proper race driver now - proud me son.
It would be really nice if you could make a small comparison video to ACC GT4 or maybe to sim Racing Pedals or what settings you want on Sim Racing Pedals to get as close to the Real World 😃
As much as I absolutely despise BMW drivers from the bottom of my cynical heart, it's pretty cool of them to give Jimmy that opportunity
Nice one fella, from a shed to a BMW M4GT4, can't be bad. So pleased for you and what you have and are achieving. 😜
Yes, Jimmy - Road to Le Mans next! @porsche @Proton Racing
So proud of our fellah here. I knew he could do it. ❤️🌈🙏🏻 The factory BMW driver(s) didn't want to risk turning off traction control because doing so would have shown that JB is just as good as them.
The most amazing move JB could make right now after all his recent accomplishments would be to deal with his lisp. Can you imagine if he were to overcome his speech impediment? This thought gives me goosebumps. He doesn't need to to maintain my love, respect and admiration, but if he did, it would crystallize his life time immemorial as one of great virtue.
What an inspiration to others that would be; overcoming that type of adversity while killing it the way he is killing it right now.
It just seems like the ultimate clutch move to make, of all clutch moves, of all time. It would take work, but I know he could do it. I'm also certain if he did it, he would increase his net worth significantly, and most likely end up being offered a seat with a legit pro racing team. What a badass hero he would be. This world rewards heroism. JB has an opportunity through his particular adversity to experience such heroism.
I got inspired to bring this up after having a deep, brutal, memorable existential conversation with a rather big name in auto racing who talked about the unspoken brand-image related requirements underscoring driver recruitment.
I knew I might get crucified for bringing this up, however I feel the potential for which I am speaking to be worth it.
How cool must that be. What a beautiful car. And the sound. Drool drool.
BMW stands for Bimmer's Massive Wang, of course...👀 Hope you do get a GT4 drive. Got confidence that you will do well. 💪
Fuckin' get that shit, Jimmy! You're killing it, dude. After years of being subscribed I'm thrilled to see your progression. Like, you're actively crossing dreams off the list at an incredible rate. Super inspiring, mate. Looking forward to the next one!
You are awesome dude i like your confidence
So proud of you Jimmer!
i love how he's all "im just a youtuber" like hes not a praga cup champion
If he would be racing GT4, is Jimmy a Silver rated driver, because of the Praga cup championship, or still bronze?
Still bronze
Very impressive. Great video. Hope they give you a proper drive sometime.
No disrespect jimmy but like you said yourself why the hell does bmw need your input into a new car your a RUclips sim racer this has to be a publicity stunt
Epic stuff Jimmer. so proud of you!
Congrats, and good driving! That walk away at the end reminded me of the Muppets, so it was hilarious. lol
Insane opportunity! Congratulations dude!!
This isn't holiday in spain. I am in spain to test a GT$ car. That sounds like a dream vacation for me.... haha
