What I've always found quite interesting about these characters is just how diverse yet similar they are. The Count and his minions are all tragic in some way except for Dimentio. Count thought he lost his love due to his father forbidding them to ever meet again. That's just putting it lightly. O' Chunks was betrayed by one of his own comrades and watched as the enemy forces took the lives of all of his men and was left broken and guilty up until Bleck picked him up. Mimi was implied to be a failed Pixl experiment gone wrong and ended up being abandoned until Bleck found her. Nastasia was a mystical bat who was saved by Bleck and ended up assuming the form of his species after being freed to express gratitude. She then pledged to remain by his side no matter what even if she wishes he'd look past his chaotic grief. To top it all off, both Mimi and Nassy were crushing on the Count despite knowing he wouldn't reciprocate it. Mr. L was just hypnotized and tortured into joining the group which is more or less how that persona arose. Dimentio offered himself as a mercenary to Bleck only to be refused, until curiously enough he appeared in the Dark Prognosticus making Bleck deem him necessary for his plan to continue. Dimentio is so cunning he plays legit everyone just so he can get what he wants, be it mocking the misfortune of others or furthering his plan. Sometimes it's both. This isn't even mentioning that he knows that the player exists and calls them out several times. Perhaps the most memorable example is when he remarked on how O' Chunk's attack patterns were being too predictable even for a toddler hinting at the game's E for Everyone Rating as well as presuming that kids were able to get this far into the game. Couple that with his enigmatic and sado-masochistic background and you've got quite the insane villain.

The "But what's that behind you?" joke implies Alex can also see through the "fourth wall" of his video and that concepts more concerning than a giant spider with the paper equivalent of rotting skin.
Honestly for me I was so excited for these bytes and HELL the wait was worth it..as for SPM Dimentio got me in the fandom yes the jester man started my SPM addiction xD but yeah I don't regret getting to this game I honestly love games what have deep story and as for a Mario game this was dark as hell.
Dimentio is an inside joke with a few of my friends, and way back when, I had NO clue who he was, so I looked him up and was like "oh. That's sounds cool." . Now I love this game with all my heart.
@@pinkythepinkslime6170 can relate to this kinda, first time I saw Dimentio was while listening to Ultimate Chaos before I really was into deltarune so yeah and when I saw him i was just like "hey this guy looks cool" and that's how I met this jester boyo
I'm actually adapting the game into a script and writing the rest of the songs for a full musical, so hopefully I can perform it with my friends! I'm playing Dimentio😁
This package is what has inspired me to finally go and finish Super Paper Mario and what sparked my love for Dimentio’s character. Also thank you SO much for the trio of jesters making a song together because I love all three of those characters so much and them all adding on to each other’s songs is so great.
The Ultimate Show actually did a good bit for me. I always remembered playing one of the Paper Mario games, but could never recall, so this helped me remember a bit of childhood memory. It also introduced me to two of my favorite song channels on RUclips, MOTI and Juno Songs. And after listening to the song for way to long, I began making a character, then a story along with more characters, and if I put myself to the project in the future when I can, could possibly become a series of games. Even the name of the character is traced back to a line in It's Showtime. And all this because of a song of a jester. Thank you.
Yes! He has fury for that the brilliant mastermind that is Fawful does not have a lyrical adaptation to his brilliantly evil theme yet! (Why did I attempt this? Why did I attempt to make this whole sentence into a metaphor?)
And people around me question why I've spent the last year on a reprise to your second song and storyboard of the climax of a 14 year old game... I blame you and your gifted voice and writing talent, you magnificent bastard.
I love the addition of the laugh in the Ultimate show, plus it's a good maniacal laugh! I have listened to these songs so much I'm currently going back to play Paper Mario: TTYD and Super Paper Mario!
The Ultimate Show is one of my favorite themes that MOTI made my favorite part was the LAST part "Bold to assume that I won't have the last laugh" idk why... the way that it's being sung... why does it give me this uhmmm idk now ok bai-
Loses one that they love, and wanting the whole universe to feel the pain that he has felt. Then the villain realized his mistakes and wanted to repent for his sins. Suprise, another, more powerful villain showed up and wanted to destroy everything because "why not?" Very simple yet so mesmerising
i have no idea why he didnt explain this but i will the ultimate show is actually made of the chaos heart theme, mr l theme, and dimentio theme so for mr l and dimentio he took parts from the ultimate show to reference that or he didnt and that was just coincidence
I like how the songs themselves, not only through the meaning of their lyrics but in the _way_ those lyrics are presented, ie. “Angry scotting ranting” and how characters like Mimi sound like she’s having the greatest time in the world terrifying the player, grabbing and forcing the player’s attention onto her like the sound of a dodgeball echoing in a pitch-black gymnasium. Great job! Random suggestion: Hollow Knight Musical Bytes. Since the sequel game is currently under production, it would be great to hear songs from the game with lyrics, since the music is simply phenomenal in the game and a key aspect of the game’s atmosphere and environment. Even something like a one-time thing, like “Your Contract Has Expired” in A Hat in Time, would be amazing! Like Troupe Master Grimm’s theme but with lyrics, and it’d be a good gauge of how many people would want to see it. Then again though, you guys did say Hat in Time Musical Bytes 2020 a year or two ago, so I’m sure you’re still busy with that. Still, it would be awesome to see Hollow Knight Musical Bytes, but I know you guys will continue making great content regardless. Have a great day!
I appreciate the channel's community, because the majority of the community loves me for some reason, even though I want to erase all the worlds, this is something that I would not erase
Man, thank you and everyone who participated in making this happen! I used to watch my sister play Super Paper Mario when I was very little, so it's a really special game to me. When you released The Ultimate Show, I had it on repeat for quite some time xD Thanks for the 1 hour version, btw. I really, really liked the Castle Bleck one, with Nastasia. I love how it sounds and it's really fun to sing! Super Paper Mario is my favorite game of all time. The story and the characters are amazing and grew up with me. Thank you for bringing this all to life ^w^
12:51 my littlest sibling figured out instantly, he hasnt seen a bit of diologue, he just looked at the TV and asked "why are you fighting luigi and his cool robot?" and i felt accomplished and a little upset but he cant play the game
“Who knows? I might come back to this one day.” Did you all hear that? There’s still hope for Memory and O’Cabbage the musical! The world better not be destroyed before we get these two - I’ll have a jester to batter before I let that happen.
"Here's a link to the SPM Musical Bytes, and if you want more, here's what RUclips thinks you would like!" RUclips: Recommends SPM Musical Bytes package
To this day "Tuck your world in and kiss it goodnight" from Dimentio hits different. It's such an eloquent, understated threat that encapsulates Dimentio's purpose flawlessly.
This game will forever be in my heart. The fact that you love the game as much as I do is truly touching and decided to make a musical package has really touched me, Alex.
I think about 6 to 8 years ago there were few people who openly admit that they like Super Paper Mario. Now, about 13 years after release of that game I had converations on RUclips and Discord and, of course, that were not really represantative, which truly made it clear for me that SPM has not only a few fans.
I don't know why Color splash gets so much hate, this is just my opinion, but I genuinely loved the game. it might be because I never played Paper Mario or the thousand year door, but I dunno.
When you go out a good rpg with true strategie and a funny good writted story. You will always be disapointted of a game that has nothing to do with the previous game you played
In my opinion, it boils down to story and gameplay reasons. Color Splash has a LOT of good charm, good ideas, and good music behind it, and I did enjoy lots of my time with it, but the Things gimmick and the basic story were just kind of... I'll be blunt, fuck the Things gimmick. "Oh, you want to use a super powerful attack? Ok, now you actually need it for the boss to progress, rather than having just an interesting and fun boss fight." I thought the bosses were fine enough, but every time I needed to use a Thing, I always became irritated and spiteful because I didn't feel clever for figuring out which to use, I felt like it was me wasting something because the game said I can't progress if I don't, and if I happen to not have the right item? Too bad! I have to restart the boss fight all over again after grinding more attacks and backtracking to get the Thing. Not to mention most battles end up pointless because you spend more in them then you get out of them. I hate color splash not because of what it is, but because what it thinks is fun, is not fun, will not be fun, and won't ever be fun without giving a LOT more consideration to it... Which The Devs failed to do since sticker star.
At the very least, it was legitimately fun, EXTREMELY funny, and a major step back in the right direction from Sticker Star that gives me significant hope for the next installment. Not a worthy successor to TTYD and SPM, but reason to believe one will be made.
I played it with my sibling, and that greatly heightened the experience because we were able to riff on it all the way through XD Real talk though, it _is_ better than Sticker Star (I consider it “Sticker Star done right”), but does pale in comparison to the three other games in most regards. Especially still needing certain Thing Cards to progress; that was annoying as hell. But, despite its reputation and my iffy feelings on it, my ideal new age Paper Mario game would actually keep the Color Splash artstyle for the terrain; a Thousand Year Door level game with genuinely beautiful areas, created with the creative artistic spark of arts and crafts, would be incredible ^_^
I don't get all the hype around TTYD tbh. It was a good game but I don't understand why most Paper Mario fans think it's the best thing since sliced bread :p
These BTS videos truly show why I respect this channel so much. It not only shows that there really is a _team_ working together to make these videos the best they can be, but also that you truly are passionate about the source materiel; so many channels just half-ass their lyrics, while you guys put time and effort into truly capturing the characters, and you can truly tell in the finished product. To think, that there was a time when I dismissed Undertale the Musical as another quick cash grab; you guys are paying tribute to these games in a passionate, powerful way. If I could only choose one “with lyrics” channel to subscribe to, it’s an honor to support this one ^_^
Please do more explanations. It's interesting to see where other people's minds go when hearing these songs, and intriguing to see where your mind went, as well as finding out the reasoning for the lyrics choices you made. Great work, and keep it up.

I knew this game was a thing. I think I was told by a friend about this game? I never played it or seen it thought. You did an AMAZING job with these bytes. I love your music and everything you do. I'm looking forward to all the future videos you'l make!
You guys are a gift from God that keep giving gifts of song. Thank you guys for the wonderful tunes that you release and the joy that you bring. All of you.
You and your crew has done a phenomenal job with making those Super Paper Mario (SPM) music videos! 👏🙌 When I played SPM for the first time back in 2007, I imagined what the voices of the villains Dimentio and Mimi would sound like. The voices you've chosen for the Dimentio and Mimi's songs were 90% close to what I imagined those characters to sound like! The 4 other SPM villains (Count Bleck, O' Chunks, Nastasia & Mr. L) we're very spot on as well!! I've always felt that SPM was a severely underrated of the Paper Mario Trilogy (even though my personal best favorite is Paper Mario 64). I wish Nintendo would do more with the SPM villains, such as turning Count Bleck, Nastasia, Dimentio, Mimi & O' Chunks into 3D humans and letting them be featured in the Mario Kart, Party & Sport franchises. (May'be I'm getting carried away...) Sorry for going off on a tangent, SPM has been a beloved game for me and you and your crew has captured the spirit of the game so well! 👏🙌 Continue to inspire others Man on the Internet, with your musical talents!!
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for another great work and that I loved that there was a "custom" outro music , it made a bit more special imo. If the opportunity to do this again with the next Bytes presents itself, I'd fully support it!
I love these videos, as I've mentioned earlier, and knowing that O'Chunks was mostly improv makes the song even better. And Juno's eagerness really put a smile on my face, and I agree that he did a phenomenal job on Brobot Battle. You and your team have done an amazing job capturing each and every character, and whatever your next musical bytes may be, I look forward to it eagerly.
Thank you for this super paper Mario was my first paper Mario game and it’s my favorite one so many childhood memories it’s a underrated game it needs more love I subscribe!
I'm honestly in love with your songs. I had played Super Paper Mario as a kid, but never got past the first level, and these songs are actually what inspired me to go back and actually play through it now that I probably knew what I was doing. And your Deltarune songs made me go back and finish Deltarune, as well (No real reason for having not finished that, I just got distracted and never came back to it) Also, it's almost a little distracting how similar your natural voice is to the voice you use for Dimentio. Like, I wasn't really fully expecting you to just actually sound like that. I'm a little jealous if I'm being entirely honest.
Dear Alex. You might not read this, but, thanks to your Super Paper Mario bytes I might have an idea of another Mario villain to get their own small song in a possible future music bytes. Antasma. Although Antasma is not as good as the previous Mario & Luigi villains, Antasma is by all means a person who deserves a song due to his unique way of speaking, his music, and honestly because he's just an interesting boss in all retrospect. The reason why I say this could be in a music byte is because a Mario & Luigi byte series would be interesting. One song for each game in the series. This is just a request and my personal idea for a Music Byte, but you decide what happens so...If you are reading this, then thanks for at least reading. Superstar Saga: Devastation Partners in Time: Destroy! (Parts would be alien gibberish since it's Younger Princess Shroob but I think some English lyrics can work) Bowser's Inside Story: Fawful is There Dream Team: The Final Antasma Paper Jam: Double Bowsers! (Final Boss Phase 1) & Final Boss Phase 2 put together.
Can we have an explanation on the ultimate world spun? XD Id honestly just love a vid of you diving deep into the darkest insanity in your mind while on camera, as the three jesters have caused you... a LITTLE chaos~
I was hoping to hear what effort and thought went behind all these songs. I think videos like these are really interesting as a person who enjoys writing stories inspired by music. I hope you guys do more of these in the future 👍🏼

Same here
Same dimentio got so into this game a lot, especially the The Ultimate show
Dimentio is an inside joke with a few of my friends, and way back when, I had NO clue who he was, so I looked him up and was like "oh.
I love how I just see two Dimentio profile pictures
1:26 Please come back and make this a full musical. I would pay to see it.

@@mircophonemoon5844 Man I would kill to be in a Super Paper Mario musical! Well hey, y'all are gonna kill it
This package is what has inspired me to finally go and finish Super Paper Mario and what sparked my love for Dimentio’s character.
Thank you.
There is just one thing: Mario RPG Bytes. WE NEED FAWFULS THEME.
Yes! He has fury for that the brilliant mastermind that is Fawful does not have a lyrical adaptation to his brilliantly evil theme yet! (Why did I attempt this? Why did I attempt to make this whole sentence into a metaphor?)

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE MUSICAL BYTES!!!! Dimentio is my FAVORITE Mario character OF ALL TIME
Lost to this monster, the man behind the lyrics.

Man, thank you and everyone who participated in making this happen! I used to watch my sister play Super Paper Mario when I was very little, so it's a really special game to me. What happened to the conductor
I think about 6 to 8 years ago there were few people who openly admit that they like Super Paper Mario.
Now, about 13 years after release of that game I had converations on RUclips and Discord and, of course, that were not really represantative, which truly made it clear for me that SPM has not only a few fans.
The man behind the lyrics (Slaughter)
I played it with my sibling, and that greatly heightened the experience because we were able to riff on it all the way through XD
Real talk though, it _is_ better than Sticker Star (I consider it “Sticker Star done right”), but does pale in comparison to the three other games in most regards.
The very beginning of the mini song is highly unrealistic, it should actually go like
Walking up to mimi, interacting with mimi
*Wii death sounds*
Raining on ya like a thunderstorm
O'chunks, I came for war

You and your crew has done a phenomenal job with making those Super Paper Mario (SPM) music videos! 👏🙌
When I played SPM for the first time back in 2007, I imagined what the voices of the villains Dimentio and Mimi would sound like.
(May'be I'm getting carried away...)
Sorry for going off on a tangent, SPM has been a beloved game for me and you and your crew has captured the spirit of the game so well! 👏🙌

Alex is actually dimentio confirmed he sounds just like him even when he’s not singing what the heck.
I'm honestly in love with your songs. I had played Super Paper Mario as a kid, but never got past the first level, and these songs are actually what inspired me to go back and actually play through it now that I probably knew what I was doing. And your Deltarune songs made me go back and finish Deltarune, as well (No real reason for having not finished that, I just got distracted and never came back to it)
Also, it's almost a little distracting how similar your natural voice is to the voice you use for Dimentio. Like, I wasn't really fully expecting you to just actually sound like that. I'm a little jealous if I'm being entirely honest.
And for the next 20 or so minutes I heard "RANNING ON YA LIKE A THUNDERSTORM"... those are the best words taken out of context.
Superstar Saga: Devastation
Partners in Time: Destroy! (Parts would be alien gibberish since it's Younger Princess Shroob but I think some English lyrics can work)
Bowser's Inside Story: Fawful is There
Dream Team: The Final Antasma
Paper Jam: Double Bowsers! (Final Boss Phase 1) & Final Boss Phase 2 put together.
