I will never get over Jisoo’s professionalism at Coachella. She was sick during this AND was in the most physical pain, her back was hurting her so much there are videos at this time where she couldn’t even bow to fans cause it hurt so much. But then she performs like this??? We have to give credit where credit is due. She was crazy for this.

Thats impressive how well Jisoo defied the odds. I also think Jisoo has made so much progress and has the most stable vocals in the group. These girls work hard for sure.

Jennie Kim put her heart and soul in this performance, we love her
thank you for appreciating Jennie, this is the reason why Jennie Kim is the MAIN RAPPER for a reason despite her own company sabotaging her and blocking her from rapping. The versatility and flow she has when it comes to rapping is very rare in kpop it’s not the same generic flow that almost every rapper in kpop has. I believe Jennie will show her rapping skills more when she releases her album and I know the whole world and kpop industry will be left speechless wondering why they ever slept on this ace please check out solo also
This performance literally changed my view of BP, especially Jennie. They have so much potential to be amazing performers. I used to think they’re overrated, and still kinda do, but I can def see them continue to thrive and improve. They were just on fire here! I literally had chills when Jennie was rapping
Jennie really went all out and was fire, fierce and amazing in this performance. Too many people have been under appreciating her, some not even recognizing her main rapper position, but she proved them all wrong. I’m glad you’re starting to now like BP.
Jennie and the rest of the girls knew how important this performance was. This was their intro into the US market where K-groups usually fail. They hit a home run and showed their star power and talent.

Lisa is a swagger as well but still Jennie is the best rapper for me, the fastest rapper and the cleanest rapper (what I mean is that her vowels/pronounciation even if it's in korean you can still hear her clear lines)

Blinks will always remember how Jisoo put her health on the line this night. This performance was the most important for Blackpink’s global success and they put everything they had on the line. I imagine they were all exhausted once they got home.

Jennie said in one of their many interviews that their goal is to let everyone in the group shine. Jennie isn’t selfish like her solo stans. The girls have more creative control NOW than ever before. They were freaked out of their minds during this show, because they thought nobody would show up for 4 girls singing in Korean. You are seeing raw performance for this show. It's not slick and rehearsed. This is survival mixed with surprise, nervousness, and talent.
2023 but My favorite D4 live performance is still the D4 Remix back in 2019 Tokyo Dome concert. Made me follow Blackpink after watching that show

Listen to roses solo stage on their world tour. Let it be and then she mixed that with I’m coming home when they went to Australia where her family still is. Just her and their pianist. It sounds stunning. All blinks know she can sing live and her vocals aren’t messed with because she does live videos on her social media and it’s just her and her guitar or piano. Her voice is just perfection and barely touched after recording.
Because you love Rosé and her voice so much, can I suggest you listen to her cover on Halseys "Eyes Close". She sounds absolutely magical while singing it. And she's singing it live as well too.

Their Coachella performance makes me want to cry. They had absolutely NO idea what they were in for. They were hoping for 100 people but the crowd was amazing! They thought they were just a little Kpop group but look at our girls.

The 'nice' comment wasn't even about Jisoo. It was about the choreography. I understand your frustration because Jisoo deserves a lot of love because she is talented but some people just have different inclinations and it would definitely show if he forced himself to say things he doesn't mean and then people will also find fault in that. I remember watching some of his reactions where he complimented Jisoo so I guess we'll have to be satisfied with that.

I think 'Crazy over you' and 'Love to hate me' are two songs by them that you could enjoy a lot. They are rap focused, have interesting instrumentals and fully in English, so there's nothing lost in translation. They don't have MVs, so I'd recommend a lyric video.

The craziest part about all of this is that one of their members, jisoo, was performing all of this with a really bad back injury and was still able to do all of this it’s crazy how much she was putting into her performance in spite of the injury
Props to The Band Six. They're always the ones playing during Blackpink concerts. They are MAD awesome! They even did a reggae version of 1 of the songs. The girls are amazing too. They performed around 13 (?) songs with all the crazy choreo and they didn't hesitate singing those high notes like how some artists do when singing live.

Also, I agree with Knox that a lot of KPOP, and Blackpink in particular, make heavily produced music that sounds amazing, but is difficult to translate to a live performance. The vocals and sounds are difficult to replicate on stage. Using a live band, and the girls singing with an almost grunge/punk vibe, makes the live performances a lot different than the studio releases, but it makes them unique and amazing as well. 🔥
