  • In this video, meshing operations of the car are done. Firstly, the surface mesh is generated to save time. Then, volume mesh is generated with different local sizing functions and inflation layers. To calculate the first layer thickness of the inflation layers, I used an online tool. The link of the tool: www.fluidmecha...
The next video will be about the setup of the physics and post-process of the results.

Hello, firstly I should thank you and I have a question for fluent analysis. I am working on a car analysis and I am trying to converged e-05 but it isnt happen anytime. Dou you have any suggest ?

Hi, sorry for the late response. As I know, in most complex cases like car analysis, it is impossible to reach 10^-5 of continuity residual. You may try to monitor the parameters like C_L and C_D to see convergence. Also, you can take a look at the following link to get the ideas of other researchers in the field: www.researchgate.net/post/What_is_a_acceptable_convergence_for_the_Continuity_residual_in_FLUENT

Hey, you can keep around 10e-3, the values will not change significantly

Hello, the video is very helpful, I am having a problem because I am trying to study the frontwing of an F1 and it is faceted body, when I try to mesh it it says that the element has poor quality or incorrect input. Do u know how can I solve it?

Hi, thank you first of all. Have you ever tried the facet tool-kit in Spaceclaim to get a solid body from facets? Maybe you can take a look to this webpage: www.spaceclaim.com/en/solutions/ReverseEngineering.aspx

@@cfdandbeyond Hello, I have tried to Autoskin tool, given the complexity of the piece, but it says that the CAD could not generate, any idea how can I solve it?

@@javierpaezarjona3474 Other than that I can suggest you to try Fluent Meshing instead of ANSYS Mesher. As I know, it handles faceted bodies better.

hello, thank you for your knowledge, sir, I want to ask why when I do the setup, I get a warning: minimum orthogonal quality below 0.01 . what is the cause and what is the solution sir ,,, thank you

Hi, thank you for your kind words! You should check the mesh quality as I did in the video and refine the mesh in the problematic regions.
