I mean it is 100% given that Chile is country insanely dedicated to heavy metal bands. Hell the only way you know the crowd is INSANE for their band is when the road flares are ignited in a closed roof arena based venue.
Been at this a long time and that was highly impressive. That was a big pit. It wasn't just little isolated pockets of bodies throwing down. It was the whole floor going off!
In Chile we have the indigenous people called "Mapuche" (means: people of the land). They have been the only indigenous people on the entire American continent (from Canada to Chile-Argentina) who NEVER surrendered (submitted) to an invading empire (in this case in Latin America the Spanish Empire). The Mapuches fought for almost 400 years with the Spanish empire, and now, they do so against our State of Chile, which took from them, in the decades from 1851 to 1883, their ancestral lands in southern Chile (Chilean soldiers murdered thousands of Mapuches in cold blood). The Mapuches are gallant and warrior blood and will not perish. There is even currently a football (soccer) team called Colo - Colo, which is the most popular in Chile and which represents the Mapuche people in its shield and tradition.
