So excited for this, having struggled with adding wireless qr to my vrs wheelbase for a long time I'll be adopting this one if it's released as a standalone
This is a few Months too late for me. Very happy with my simagic alpha but was considering VRS before I got it. Lack of wireless was a big reason I went Simagic
Looks like a nice QR solution. I have too many wheels on Q1R’s to consider changing to this system. Do you know if the QR on the new R295 wheel is integrated or can it be removed and replaced with an alternative and used with a cable?
Yeah may not be for everyone the new QR solution. There are plans to bring this wheel to the market with a cable. Those plans are still in development at this time.
When will this be available for purchase? This addition has me feeling so much better about going VRS instead of Simagic since a USB passthru quick release was nearly the deciding factor in my decision between the two.
Yes this is pass through and allows for a cable less connection. There are some cool plans coming. I plan on sharing more in the coming weeks and months. 😉

@@alexandre52045 I think it'll make life easy. Instead of doing what I've done, this will require no DIY to set up.
This makes the base a lot cleaner. Great work from vrs
Yes it does and makes life so much easier.
Please dont use vice grips to insert the key way. The teeth can damage your shaft.
True you could damage if people decide to be over zealous with the grips.
awesome can't wait to save up to buy my vrs wheel for my vrs hub i've had forever
Nice. Can't wait to share so much more. People will enjoy for sure. 👍🏾

Agreed mate. VRS is late to the party for sure. Happy for you mate. 2025 is going to be good.

Well that's cool.
I think so. It'll bring so much more to VRS. Can't wait to share more.
@grayzedynamics yeah I like this alot. Nice to see you can use there flagship wheelbase with it.
Yes, it will be backwards compatible and much more. ;)
I hoping this can be used on other bases😊
I think that might work on simucube
Not sure, how big and wide is the shaft on the Simucube. Maybe it could, but would have to test it out.
When will this be available for purchase?

So right now it comes with the new wheel, hopefully soon, it will be released separate for purchase. More info to come.
Is this usb passthrough? will this work with other wheels not from VRS?
Yes this is pass through and allows for a cable less connection. There are some cool plans coming. I plan on sharing more in the coming weeks and months. 😉
How is the QR PCB getting connection from the PC? Is it wireless? At no point was that plugged in. Did I miss something?
He slid the wire through for the pcb. Its plugged in.
An be seen at the 7 minute 30 second mark and further.
You see on 4:01 on the bottom is the usb port where you probably put the angluar usb-c cable in.
Yes there is the USB cable early on. I could have added that last part but this was just the install video. There will be more to come.
@@reviewforthetube6485 I'm referring to the PCB to the PC. Not the PCB to the QR hub.
@@grayzedynamics Does the USB cable go through the base, or does it just wrap round the shaft? VRS is becoming an very appealing option these days.
