This is the same issue we have at work is that we cut people. We thought it was us!!! I totally agree with your comment it’s not worth your/our reputation by cutting clients.
Bought this for myself. I cut my hair myself and before this, the lines I did on my hair were with my hair clippers. Thought of giving this pen a try. I didn't cut or bleed myself using it. The lines is definitely cut a lot closer than using clippers to do the lines. For me, what I did was not to push the blade to close to the skin. Just a slight pressure, and the sharp razor will just cut off the hair.
Unfortunately, that's the gamble when you're trying something new, particularly a razor. I checked in with my model regularly during the demo to make sure she was good. But thanks for being concerned, that's compassionate.
For me, the rounded razor was the biggest problem. It was super hard to feel when you were digging into the skin, as opposed to a traditional razor, there is tension when you hit skin and know not to push in any further to avoid a cut.
Dip/stir it in a cup of water to unclog it between each pass, this razor is very handy for my beard and cleanups between haircuts, need to use it carefully though.
Thanks so much for the review. I had one of these pens in my amazon cart... I just took it out. I don't want to cut anyone. Yikes! I've been doing hair for 30 years and I don't need to shake my clients confidence in me now! lol :)
You know, Don, I got that when it first stopped like 10 years ago, and I thought the lines were too wide. But they were on to something... it was close, but Wahl just missed a little bit with the tattoos
the pen supposed to be straight if you lean it a little bit you will cut the client and it was your 1rst time using it..it takes a lot of practice to get good with the pen. even if you been doing the original Barber razor blade for years. so don't feel bad about your reputation like you mentioned on this video it was your first time...and try to keep the pan straight next time and less pressure
Hey, thanks for that info! Yeah, I felt like if it was flat flat, I was flooding over the hair and not cutting, but if I angled it, I cut her. Leaning curve was too sharp for me, I never bothered with it again. Just wasn't for me, I guess, and I think if it's hard to get to used to, it's prob not safe for clients, you know? Thanks for the feedback!
Sandra Garcia Cool Care. There's no assurance that a blade is sterile when it comes out of the paper, so I always like to spray it with an antiseptic before use. Great question!
You must be very carefull! you need to have sufficent stretch and make sure skin is tight or it'll dip into flesh like a butter. and yes watch the molls as it will cut (you'll deal with unstoppable bleeding.!
I am a Master TONSORIAL artist of 37 years...the blade never cuts people...the barber does...try prepping the skin with a hot towel as well as blade glide solution...works EVERY time!
Damn, there is a bunch of haters out there, yes you will run into some bleeding issues even if you're a freakn professional of how many years. Skin is delicate.
We're not taking about cutting with trimmers, we were talking specifically about cutting someone with this razor pen. It's very hard to avoid cutting someone with that razor pen.
AAAAHHHHHHH......AVOID USING IT GENIUS....NEXT WEEK WE GOING TO WORK ON COLORS....HOW ABOUT USE IT FIRST OFF CAMERA FOR RESULTS INSTEAD AND LET UR AUDIENCE KNOW THE RESULTS INSTEAD OF HAVING PEOPLE PURCHASING THIS ITEM AND CUTTING CLIENTS HEADS ALL UP...
@@blvxkgxld4319 you sound kind of dumb...she did it on cam so you could see exactly what it does and that hairs get trapped hard to clean and it cuts clients..the way she did the video she's basically telling you they are kool but not worth your reputation because you WILL cut ya client..she even said I havent cut someone in years and I don't WANA put my name on the line for this tool I wouldn't do it.....or did you just fast forward and not watch the whole video...
I used water and a shave gel, still cut the client several times. And I'm not a rookie, I've got 14 years in the game. The razor is curved, so it's extremely hard to NOT dip into the skin. I've never used this tool again. I HIGHLY suggest AGAINST it!
Great idea poor design nobody's skin is just evenly flat I know that blade getting caught and knicking the hell out of her head...good job tho for how poor the pen is made
Yeah these pens are 1000 percent trash lol. These give false hope to anyone trying to do designs so do yourself a favor and buy some Babyliss trimmers and learn how to use a straight razor.

It's good to know that someone has had success with it!
Lol..12:32 they ask her u done?
Her response: ummm! She know she messed that up..poor client her head must be burning..

They should come with a spacing tool that spaces the cutting blade open enough to keep the hairs from clogging up as much.

Good tip. Thanks for that.
I would only use this on myself because I can feel the blade myself I wouldn't use on a client

Try the wahl tattoo clipper… you would like it..

Thank you for the review. Very helpful.
Thanks so much!
Respect her cuz didn't have tonshiw this at all she's 💯💯💪🏽 I like it
I really value authenticity, thank you so much.
What did you spray on it at the beginning?

I like the chick in the chair, she was cool for letting you do that. She's got some cajones.
I agree! Especially because the pen was cutting her. I asked if she wanted me to stop, and she said no. She was the real MVP.
@@Just_Dee_Marie hell yeah, that's a vibe
I had the same issue with mine. It's a waste of money.
I just order mine can't wait to get it
Beatriz Carias it's got a cool, you just have to be real careful with the pressure, because it's easy to cut somebody since the razor has around Edge.
sot la aler doo

Yeah, I haven't used it again since this video.
Dee Marie Hair why is it that bad?
@@xenastars because the razor is curved instead of flat on the skin, so its dipping into the skin instead of gliding over the top.
Why not bend it into a triangle shape? Then you'd have a flat blade instead of curved. Would that work?
I'd honestly be afraid to do that because it would leave the corners of the blade really sharp. I just think it's poorly designed, tbh.
I hope you didn't charge her for that mess.
Actually, I didn't. Thanks for watciing!
Wow...you just saved us all time and money! It cut her! Not good.
Yeah, not a fan. I'm glad you appreciated the video.

Is that a nose hair trimmer?
It's the razor engraving pen
I feel like it would pull the hair
It did a little bit. Mostly, though, the blade cut her multiple times
im way better off with my clippers.
Agreed!
Dry no solution like gel or water with conditioner ect??
No irritation?

💯 I still haven't picked that tool back up. Super whack.
That design looks like throw up 🤢 I’m afraid you shouldn’t do designs
