@novicelumberjack swap it out. Mine as well run it how you like it. 8 pin is my preference and as a result my grind kind of favors an 8 pin but I'm 100% open to running your saw as you intended. You weren't being negative, it just always sounds like I'm trying to prove something whenever you and i do something together. I'm excited to check it out. I don't get to run other people's builds nearly enough.
Sounds like it's way quicker but I don't see a huge increase in power in the big wood like you said. I think a 7 pin might let it stay in a higher rpm and cut faster. I agree a 7 pin would help.

Build yourself a small off grid solar setup for backup power when the grid fails. Its nice making your power. Saw runs good. Cheers
