Samcro is not finishing his races, something is troubling him when asked to quicken at the business end of a race as he isn't just plugging on but almost stopping dead and going backwards. Probably some sort of breathing issue I would guess.
Ye he's emptying 2 quick once he comes under pressure.. ud think it b wind but im sure they've had every bit of that checked... he prob had harder races than they looked early on and just never trained on.
@@shaneymac8398 Not training on is one thing, stopping dead at the END of a race is another...he went toe to toe with a 160-170 rated hurdler in Faugheen all the way to 2 out and then went into slow motion to the finishing line, but still miles clear of horses rated 130-140. It's not a question of not training on , something is troubling the horse when it is asked to quicken at the end of a race. I would say its having troubling breathing and filling his lungs with Oxygen, or its a physical problem that's hurting him when quickening.
@@luisvega7 ye if you were looking in at that and didnt know the 2 horses the way he emptied you would say he was rotten of the wind. But gordon and jack would have came out with that if it was that i think. Could b his back either.. def something catching him when he starts to quicken.. strange thing was he was still tanking in his last race against jp's horse when he came down. He might av injured himself then .. i wouldnt write him off yet. Dont think he's a dog .. he was beat by a machine and like you said he miles clear of highly rated horses.. interesting to see where they go nxt with him or if any excuses come out
Faugheen was as fantastic and mighty as advertised. Great horse who gives me goosebumps with the effort given. To me Faugheen Is the best of why I love horses. Thank you to the entire team for keeping this great animal in amazing form. Much pleasure derived from watching such a classy horse strut his enthusiasm.
@@dailystar1 what gets me is u must love racing so why take pot shots at Patrick Mullins. He is a top horseman and jockey. He looked after Faugheen (12 now) and what a run from him. Maybe u should have ridden Samcro. Happy new year my friend
@@cormacflanagan815 how is it being silly..if he wins the jlt or the rsa.. gold cup will be the direction next season if you ask me but what do i know lol
To sit by a log fire and enjoy a Bruichladdich Black Art 5 made by the legend that is Mr McLean or enjoy a champagne and Saint Felicien cheese in the french countryside have been special moments in my life. Watching Faugheen is as special a moment as the aforementioned Add in Douvan. Or the great Vautour. They are special moments. Never to be forgotten. Anyone who doesn’t like watching this fella must be mad. Poetry in motion
Even rising 12, well past his mighty best, Faugheen is electric. Just wish they'd put him over fences after his novice hurdle season; would have had multiple Gold Cups by now
It was perhaps a better performance than it appears; if you watch him at each fence, except for the final two, the majority he either gets in quite deep or stands off and can’t clear cleanly?
I actually think the ground didn’t help Samcro. He goes on to a slight lead, and faugheen basically outstays him. If you look at the distance back to third, this wasn’t a bad performance. He hasn’t been beaten by a horse he was expected to beat easily. I actually think Samcro on better ground in the marsh novice chase @ the festival will be there or thereabouts.

i have never rated samcro hes got no bottle in a finish.
Comical 😂😂😂
Faugheen is still a machine
Thank you for these videos, sir! (madame?)
Another bent race it’s so bent you must use pipe benders to bet with crooked rishi racing you bet at your peril only one can win it fixed it’s bent
Avoid backing anymore horses for the rest of your day's, my apologies but you haven't got even half a clue about the game. Bingo's not a bad game??

Apart from a Patrick Mullins being absolutely useless.

And it is of course mr MaCewan. Bloody predictive text.
Beautifully said. I'm with u.

not this year tho notebook has been disapointing

A 12 year old winning a top novice race is terrible for the future of NH racing.
How many 12 year old novices are 11 x Group 1 winners and multiple times champion hudler though?
Don't worry. The future always has a habit of throwing up a new "best thing". It always will.

Let's go today Faugheen 🙏 ♥

Just a hype horse he's useless finds nothing of the bit forget about him winning any big races
He was outclassed by a 11 year old having his second chase and in better ground he would of been further behind
Samcro managed to win back at Cheltenham several months later.
