For the love of all that's good, do NOT use hot glue for this. The backstitch is one of the easiest and fastest stitches you can learn, and it won't leave you with a blanket with crusty chunks in it.

@@agscxt other people plointed out u cant wash it if u do that learn a basic stitch (the one where u pass the needle above then under on repeat, or the one where u pass the needle above then under then go back on that stitch, its called a backstitch i think) preferably smaller stitches close together to really seal in the blanket i guess u can fold the edge a bit then do them as for the knot, theres multiple ways to do it, i make my first stitch the knot itself, idk how to explain it but even a straightforward one works!! its a bit time consuming as a beginner i assume, but its really worth it to do it if u want ur blanket to last if u rly take ur time to do even just the edge hemmed well, i think u'll rly thank urself for not having to repair it frequently hope that helps!! have fun with ur blanket

I would suggest searching for a blanket stitch (for beginner sewist) rather than folding it and hemming, since it can be difficult to get a good circular hem that way. You can also use a little fabric glue or fray check before you sew the edge if you’re worried about it still fraying after being sewn. This is adorable but please just sew it next time, fuzzy blankets are not good candidates for unhemmed edges because they fray easily and leave little fuzzies everywhere, and gluing the flowers will at best leave you with uncomfortable little bits of plastic and at worst they will fall off completely and also leave little fuzzies everywhere. This will also be impossible to wash in a washing machine without damaging, which is bad for fuzzy blankets because they can trap dirt and what not easily, ESPECIALLY if a dog is using it.
It would take me weeks if not months to crochet a flower blanket and she made one in a day! How smart and convenient although i would still love to crochet one🥰

Yall it’s a diy not a sewing/crochet project. Obviously buying fabric and sewing all of it would be better/more secure but the idea is for people who aren’t experienced to have an easy way to turn some old blankets into a cute little project without being intimidated by skills they don’t yet have
I saw this as a crochet project and thought “I wish I had that much time,” but this is so much more convenient! Plus it’s so much comfier! I agree with other people commenting though, the edges will fray and hot glue gun is definitely far from ideal for this fabric!

Do not use hot glue the flowers will pop off simply look up how to hand stitch the back stitch and hem the edges of the circle blanket or everything will fall apart
Hot glue does not adhere well to pretty much anything. It’s only appropriate for crafts that you don’t expect to hold together; or that you aren’t going to move around a lot. Using them on fabric, especially fabric you’re actually going to use is insane .
