Here I am....it's 8 pm. Trying these new sclera contacts I go for my Halloween costume... sobbing over my sink. I have worn contacts for 5+ years now but for some reason these just won't go in. I got one in with sheer luck but I had a panic attack trying to get them out for 15 minutes
It helps to lubricate your eye well first, if you did t try that. Once you’re able to do it the first time it gets easier the more you do it. You’ll get it, just keep trying. You might need to rotate the contact or tweak it a bit till it sits right. Add as much lubrication as you need, it helps set it in place
I had so much trouble putting them in until now, your tutorial helped me and my contacts are finally in right now! The tip to look down at a mirror is a great one. Thanks so much!
This has helped me so much in figuring out how to put them in, I'm used to using normal contact lenses so the second method was definitely the way to go for me. Thank you
What a fantastic tutorial, best one I have seen. The phone camera as a mirror made it very clear how to handle these special contacts. Thank you so much
I’m goth so I I wear blackout scalaras year round been wearing them for over 10+ years with there were RUclips videos like yours when I started wearing them would have really made things easier.
When you said "blink slowly" it blew my mind hole. Have I ever blinked slowly before? I'm not sure, but I tried it. I had to concentrate really hard and I basically squeezed my whole face.
very awesome. Can you pls do lot of vedeos about proper wearing of huge halloween contact lenses. It really find me so interesting to watch. I am so amazed.
Black out sclera's, absolutely love them. I've been inserting them in reverse, slide down then lift top lid and push up. I'll have to try this way. Thank you 🤌
Do you have any suggestions for when the lenses don't sit flush against the eye? It's like I've got an air bubble in. Are mine just too big and I'm just sol?
I have small eyes and strong blinks ... with all my fingers my eyes blinks that hard that it doesn't care how many fingers holding it... maybe there is a hint to not blink... but what exercises could help to get eyes not blinking... or at least not blinking as hard as they do?
Not sure if you’ll see this, but you seem very responsive. I’m curious what brand or website you recommend getting these from? Any & all help is greatly appreciated.
You could use the same method, but you usually don't have to move the eyelids or the contacts as much. You can just about out them in like normal contacts.
I’ve easily got them in my eye, but they refuse to seal to my eye. The air bubbles just pop it right back out when I blink a few times. What am I doing wrong?
I think a lot of them are like that. They move around a lot... I had to keep readjusting them in my eyes. I'm not sure if different brands fit differently.
Is it possible to wear normal lenses underneath? So I can see stuff. (I wear glasses) I wear lenses under my colered lenses for acting. But idk with sclera 😮 I want black ones for Halloween!
Hi! Your video is very helpful. I ran into a problem after I was able to put it on. A small par of the contact specifically on the edge didn’t come in contact in my eye. I tried pushing it down but it just moved around. What do y put recommend for this? Did I place it wrong?
Do you recommend putting them in after halloween makeup, or before? if i put them in before, it is hard to see and do the makeup. if i put it in after, i smudge the makeup!! idk what to do!!
@@debbie3779 Yes, there are some great contact lenses out there for keratoconus. I did a video about some of the best lenses here: ruclips.net/video/-y2hEl_QBFc/видео.html
@@DrEyeGuy thank you Dr,l have heard of the contact lenses lam just not sure we have them here in Malawi, our hospitals are too poor.Any suggestions of to where l can get them online ?
@@debbie3779 I actually don't know of a place you can get them online, other than maybe regular RGP lenses, but you would need a prescription for them. These lenses usually need a fitting process to make them work correctly.
Could be a number of reasons. If you have a colored sclera lens... you could be seeing through a portion of the colored part. The surface of the contact could be dry. Do you normally wear prescription lenses or contacts? I'm guessing your sclera lens doesn't have a prescription in them?
@@DrEyeGuy No I do not wear prescription lenses how ever i do wear a lot of color lenses and I can see fine though them does the size of the sclera lenses matters?
I try de black sclera and i dont know if its normal to see the lenses ? Because y can se a little black around of my eye and that really unconfortable to see
Ok , so i can use like that ? Because i buy one for hollowen , maybe es beacuse i am really hyper so always i have mi pupiles a little bigger but i want to use it , thanks in advance i will like your video for support chanell
Mine do not fit and I don´t know what to do, I put them on just fine but there´s like a little flap that pops out, not sure how to explain it, they just don´t fit
Do you put makeup on before or after the lenses go in? I find that wearing mini scelera or blind lenses make it very hard to see when applying makeup. But if you put them in last, you smudge makeup. Grrrr
Don't you have to fill the contact with saline solution because it doesn't actually contact your cornea? Otherwise you could get an infection. Everything online says that about them EXCEPT for influencer videos so I don't know if I would trust this at all

Nicely done and well explained. 👍
Just got red uv glow scleras from moco queen and this video made it easy thanks.
Probably won't see this, but do you recommend getting contacts from them? I'm planning on getting some and I would appreciate a second opinion. . .
ok this videos got me questioning if I want to do this for Halloween or not. hahah
Magnificent

Recommend place to get them of not from a eye doctor?
If normal to see the lenses ? After you put in on

So creepy looking! Thanks for the tips!
Im still scared at putting eye contact, especially scalera. But i might cosplay aizetsu from demon slayer, so i might do this!
Do you have any tips for somebody who blinks a lot while putting contacts in?
Same here, I can't unblink
Can't wait to wear these in an airplane
That thumbnail definitely will give me nightmares! 👻
Great video, as always ♥
Thank! This one was a fun one to make.

yes! these contacts are much bigger than regular ones that you wear everyday.

Doubling up on contact lenses could drastically reduce the oxygen to the eye and be dangerous.

I would do it after... I can't wear them that long before my eyes start getting irritated. So I would save my eyes as long as possible.
@@DrEyeGuy Alright thank you so much! just got my first pair so this helped a lot!

I have something going on inside in iris
Have you seen your doctor about it? Is it actually on the color part of the eye?

They might be too big for your eyes... but these types of contacts can be tricky to keep in the eyes for sure.
