I'm glad to hear you enjoyed her writing! I've read The Hollow Places, What Moves the Dead, and The Twisted ones, in that order so far. Planning on reading Nettle & Bone next and looking forward to it! I actually met her last year at a convention, she was super pleasant and signed a couple books for me and my partner, as well as a couple for our nephews. Definitely going to recommend a couple of her books for the local book club next year when we're coming up with the reading list :)
I’ve never read T. Kingfisher, but have always been intrigued. I enjoyed hearing your breakdown of her books and I’m definitely going to be picking up A House With Good Bones!
I love author spotlights. 😊 I haven’t read any T. Kingfisher, but I’ve added most of their books to my TBR. Hard to explain, but I have a feeling they’re going to be a favorite author for me.
Haven’t read any Kingfisher but I Have had Nettle & Bone on my TBR for a while. Her style seems like one I would enjoy - love having animals sprinkled through and the lack of spice is so me 😂
Oh no irresponsible endangerment of a cat in The Hollow Places 😢 I was considering reading that book next from T. Kingfisher because I have enjoyed their horror books more than the fantasy I have tried from them. But not sure how I would do with cat endangerment 😅
It's been a hot minute since I've read The Hollow Places, I don't remember the scene in question, but knowing how her narratives develop, I feel like it served a purpose, even if it was only to add a sense of realism.

It was s small part but it resonated negatively for me. I would not let that deter you though
@@TangibleReads good to know 😊 I do love cats so that is a tough one but I have enjoyed some T Kingfisher
