Can you estimate the dead time for a soviet SBM-20 GM tube? Also, if you're not using a coaxial cable, please twist the wires from the detector for noise immunity / electromagnetic compatibility.
The Rosenberger BNC connectors have a maximum working voltage of 400 Volts. Others should not be much different. For your application, I recommend High voltage BNC types.
