Yah I remembered. I saw that rumor that he was spotted deep kissing Leighton off-screen when he was dating Carrie Underwood. Leighton and Chace both denied their secret affair but I doubt it. They seemed in love from the video too.
They never officially dated but I bet they had secret affairs off screen.

I think they really like each other but Leighton is already ready for committment/marriage and Chace definitely is not. So she went for older guy aka someone who is ready for committment i.e Adam Brody

Yah they were spotted kissing at a night club off-screen so it became rumor a bit but they both denied it ( even though there were witnesses🫣) and they said they were just “really close” friends…
By the way, Chace was dating Carrie Underwood at that time so basically Chace was cheating on Carrie with Leighton and if rumor was true, he was also cheating with some random girls too. Chace broke up Underwood soon after that. (Broke up just by text …. )
Considering Chace being kindda playboy/party boy ( he was really cute so there were always girls over him… ) I think it was wise Leighton and Chace just remain “close friends” with occasional flirting and maybe kissing. Lol
If I were Leighton, I would stay that way…. I think Chace is somewhat like Nate even in real life… not very faithful. Chace is still bachelor now. Still playing around ( and in the show Nate also ended bachelor)
