Hi Jocelyn. I'm Chad, co-owner of Retro Daze Antiques & Collectibles, from the first booth you visited (booth 20). It was nice meeting you at the GW in York several weeks back. Thanks for showcasing our booth, I'm so glad you like it. I work hard, as you do, to find great items. We're also in booth 36 in the center aisle at Emmitsburg. I'm looking forward to visiting Lemoyne soon to see your booth. Happy Hunting!
My friend! Order yourself a Mackenzie Childs catalog online and get to know the product that way because I recently bought a vase for $10 at Goodwill and sold it for $175
I love the respect that you show to the pieces you purchase as well as the ones that you don't put in your basket. No knocking against other pieces on the shelves.
Thank you.
That incredible Made in Japan "covered jam jar" is actually a butter keeper. Fill the cup with butter and it "keeps" at a spreadable temperature for your dry rack toast. The handpainted design is awesome regardless of it's contents.
Jocelyn's words to live by..."a penguin is not a hippopotamus. " 😉
Beautiful things. Loved the kitty laying on the teapot.
I have the teapot with the kitty on top . I treasure it as it was one of the last gifts I got from my grandparents... so over 25 years old at least
What an amazing antique mall! I would go broke if I visited.....so many beautiful things to buy. Yes, prices are largely not great for resale, but for personal shopping, most are quite reasonable. Thank you (again!) for showing us these lovely vintage and antique treasures.
....I love to thrift shop , but , I only buy for our home ..I love to see what’s out there , so I love these videos .
Buy that Decanter for yourself, sell the other without the stopper. You want it so much, and it IS stunning!!
Yes buy it!!!!!
Agree. It was a great price....buy yourself a present.
I'd buy that gold decanter for the stopper alone
When you reach through a shelf I hold my breath. Then your hand gently floats over and around , sweet success.
Your amazing, your booth will be fabulous.
Hi Jocelyn! You're looking extra beautiful with your new cut and color! 💜💙💚
My grandfather owned a drug store and that bromic canister is an item that carried a powered bromoselizer for indigestion he used to put the powder in a brown envelope for his customers.
Went to three huge antique shops today trying to find a few specific things. Bummer didn’t find them. Found a lot of neat cool things that I liked but didn’t “need” so came home empty handed. But did get to support a fellow RUclips eBay seller and got one of my wishlist items as a reward for not finding anything on my outing. ???? Well anyway I get something and she will make a sale so Win Win😁♥️ Can’t wait to see what you find today♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Isn’t it great when people see you and are awed by you? They look at your channel, so you’re doing something right. Way to go Jocelyn.
The onion soup toured and ladle were amazing, appeals to my kitche sense!
Love the Friz and Floyd owl mugs And the purple vase that you passed on
OMG that anthropomorphic casserole dish in the first case, with a ladle! WOW! Never seen a piece that large.
Lots of beautiful items. That mid century table is sooooooo amazing.
The pottery tray under the penguin was awesome! Ok I have a slight problem with pottery collecting and blue and green are my favorite colors.
At 21:10, the cat tea pot fabulous next to the ladies...they are great too
OMG! That 30% off booth is super high quality stuff...the pair of satin glass vases, be still my heart! The red powder jar lady is a steal, even at $69.
Love the tea pot set it's beautiful
Love the cow creamers! I collect them and also sell them in my vintage booth. The table is fantastic! Loved the Fenton dog with the red sweater. And the Ganz ladies are great.
Love the wooden duck
He looks like it would be therapeutic to stroke the smooth wood. That teapot set is beautiful! Loved that short stocky blue vase! And the rose medallion? Gorgeous!!
O! M! GOSH! if you DON'T buy that coffee table...I'm buying a ticket n FLYING over there n BUYING it MYSELF!!!🤯🤯🤤🤤🤤
I've been looking for one for a long time!😵
The blue pitcher and glasses in the first booth!
The poinsettia plates may be hobbyist pieces. I think it was Duncan molds that had them- my mother made several sets.
That atomic coffee table is beautiful!
You need that table in your store. The display peices and set up are going to be the things that draw people in...just realized the bamboo wood pole lamp you got at the Goodwill would look great with that table.
At 8:54 love that swan jar , never seen one like that ...be cute for cotton balls, etc...also, love the new DO...
I was hoping you would look at that neat platter under the soapstone penguin...
Loved the platter under the penguin!
That table was gorgeous! Wow !
The DCUK ducks are very popular here in the UK. They all have names and some have accessories - I love them
Please go back!!!!Buy that Mid-Cent!!!!!?? Worth so much. What a find. The most incredible table.
Omg I love the red tea pot set... it’s gorgeous... Wales 🏴 U.K.
Hi Wales! I'm Kent! Lol
@@CoastalCrafterUK hi 👋
@@christinerobins8940 hi my lovely!
I love the red teapot set too.I bought a set of 4soup bowls with side plates which are the same style and colours from a charity shop in Scotland. Hi to Wales and to Kent . I'm from Kent, lived in Wales and live now in Scotland.
@@veronicaelsegood5175 I'm in Kent! Thanet!
That coffee table looks like it belongs in a NYC apt. On Fifth Avenue.. Gorgeous
No one wants to live there anymore. DeBlasio (real name Warren Wilhelm) saw to that.
@@carolp6139 LOL, that's true
Oh my word...the peacock tray at 7:58 🤤 (not drunk, just drooling over how gorgeous he was). I may have to get drunk to forget him though, LOL! Have a fantastic weekend Jocelyn! Sending everyone hugs, love & prayers for continued health from Indiana 🤗💜🙏🏻😷🦚
Next to the Ganz ladies was a Villeroy and Boch pitcher. V&B is another good name too look for as you hunt.
Love the red teapot set. ❤️🥰
The platter under the penguin!
Can't wait for part two.
Fabulous pieces there. Embracing 🎄🎄
Love the red tea pot set 💖
I'm screaming the coffee table $$$$!!!!!
The purple vase is Moser Alexandrite and changes color in different lights.
The red and green set does look like Christmas, the leafs look like they could be mistletoe! The colors are very vibrant in the set, too! Oh my, that dog in red sweater! I love him so much, I wish I could somehow find it in my budget to buy him! ✌🏼❤️
The poinsettia plates go with your tea pop and creamer set
Love the cowcreamers😍
A bit of irony- I don’t care 2 whits for art glass or most glass/ but we still learn so much here. I do get to see the pottery that’s my jam . Also her “would you look at that” pieces are intriguing 🧐. Lovin another trip out kiddo. Elizabeth
I’d be working with the dealer on the mid century table. I bet they’d do a deal. Christmas is coming. I can see a tabletop aluminum tree on the glass shelf.
You sounded like my mom when you were talking about your kids. She would always say"This is why we can't have nice things" referring to us kids.
My local auction happened to have a Mackenzie Childs tea pot, mugs, and a cream and sugar a few months back and they were all done in the black courtly check and were metal. I was surprised because of the metal but they brought big money.
Nice clean booths....
Love the blue platter that was under the soap stone penguin
Love the cow creamers!
That table though 😍😍😍 i would love to just see it in person !!! Your reaction was a calmer version of my own 🥰🥰
Okay, hold the phone! That coffee table is everything.
Love the cow creamers u bought🐮
Omg that coffee table...it was everything.
That table with the glass on it looks like something that would be in Frank Sinatra's house!
Oh and I saw my first Holt Howard in the wild the angry rooster candle holders. They were one of the really cool things I saw that I really didn’t “need”🤣
I have that piece of Carnival glass on shelf with the duck!!! Duck is cute!!!
Hi from Ireland 👋👋👋👋👋
Horray !!!! To Emmitsburg Maryland!!!!. I love the wooden duck. The cutest ducks sell highest in dollar and that duck is very cute.
I love Mackenzie childs courterly check and I have purchased and sold a few pieces in Illinois Where I live. You would never think you would see it as they are New York Based. But they are online and have a catalog. I hope I can collect all the pieces I love. Only at the Thrift though.
I love the dog with the sparkly jumper.
Beautiful teapot the colors are so vivid. Great haul.
My fave was sweater dog. That last pan of the blk and white doll ....freaky doll (to me). I think it was the size. Thx💗
I love the hounds. I think they are basset hounds. This is great place.
I love watching your videos because you find amazing things. I am always learning from you. I’ve only started collecting glass and pottery recently now that I know a little bit . I found a Murano vase for $4 with sticker. Today I found a Frankoma pottery jug for $2! I have about 3 other figurines that I bought for less than $5 and each one was priced $90-$100 of course I just buy them for my collection. Thanks for sharing 😄👍
Hi Jocelyn, Yesterday I found the exact same rose medallion platter at my local thrift store. love your channel!
Bromic soda jar... bar carbonate soda or baking soda.
How much was the glass shell? I went back and did not catch it
Jean Sickles I'm the dealer from that booth (Retro Daze Antiques & Collectibles) and the shell is $45 and we are currently have a 20% off sale. - Chad
You have turned me on to another aspect of collecting---art glass. At the local Medieval Faire they always have glass blowers. I do not tolerate heat. I live in TX. The glass blowers never got visited. I will visit them next time the Fa ire is open. I have missed so much already!
the thought of standing in front of that heat while in Texas hurts from here! (Nashville)
get the table!!!!
Wow! A lot of unique items here!
🦋I went to my favorite Community Thrift Store on Thursday, that give back to the community and they were going out of business. I was saddened because I bring all of my donations there. I did purchase a of a Christmas Stocking for $.50.
You got some really nice items. I think that is one of the best places.
I enjoyed this video. Your commentary was very interesting and the camera work was better for me. No motion sickness! 🙂. Thank you!
..I don’t resell , so those were great prices for me ..I buy what I love with very few reserves ..beautiful place .
The hounds! 💕 🐶
Loved the blue vase!!
Why dont you buy the gold decanter with the stopper and just sell the other bottom 😊😉👍
Terrific video and I am looking forward to the second part.
When you are shopping would you please mention the price of Japanese teapots?
The camera setting was a bit blurry in some instances. I love your camera work and think the settings that you had before worked perfect. Just my opinion here. As always enjoyed the video!
I MUST SAY, I LOVE YOUR HAIR,! It becomes you.
I ❤ your videos. You always find such beautiful pieces. Items that are beyond my imagination. The beaker was so lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Beakers have straight sides. That one is a flask.
They really have lots of beautiful art glass. so lovely. I never shop at eBay before but I will soon try to shop from them. New friend here
Wonderful Santa Cookie jar....I love it...but
Great owl mugs. They are so cute but no re-sale value for you....darn...too bad ...they are really nice!
That coffee table is amazing!!! Yep you can't get those things until after the kids are grown lol!!
I can just imagine a wrestling match gone wrong in the living room.
@@CrazyLampLady yep! We had nothing nice for a long time lol.
Great stuff and lots of discounts! Wish I could pick up some of those teapots! Great video love the new settings!
Those Ganz ladies were great and the one you looked at with discount was only $15
I have a vintage coffee set with cream, sugar, demitasse cups and saucers similar to your red set (mine has green flowers in the place of holly). Try looking for it as a Georg Schmider (his mark is an S inside a very round G) design. 🙂
I got a bowl last week that matches Jocelyn's set exactly and I've been wondering what it is! Mine has only a black C on the bottom.
I have tha bird next to the gold glass.
I found a set of wooden ducks on fb marketplace yesterday for $5 for the set of 4!
That table has Jocelyn written all over it.
Thanks for sharing and caring! Stay Safe!
The decanter is not like a becker is an Erlenmeyer
The red en green tea set looks a lot like Gallo Piroshka by Villeroy & Boch
You passed what looked like a very interesting bowl with FISH!!! Right under the spilled salt. Don’t forget the fish people! 😇
And the table! ❤️
I love the new setting
The Red & Green Teapot with Cups Look New To Me. How do You tell if They Are Antique or Vintage?????
This is a design I’m familiar with. I know that it is West Germany, which would make it vintage. But is also very mid century in style.
